This beach & pool club is modern and clean. We sat at the pool which was 10 euro per padded cushion sunbed which is at the expense end for Crete. 20 euros per set of 2. Drinks can be ordered at the bar or with a waiter. There's a restaurant serving typical burgers, club sandwiches etc along with Greek plates if you want to sit in the restaurant rather than at your sunbed. The two big pools are all 1.4m in depth with no shallow area. There's a kids pool attached with a couple of slides but this is very shallow and more geared to very young or small kids. There's music around the pools in the generic 'chamber' or generic ambient dance music style which makes the atmosphere a little flat. It's clean, safe and the food is fine, but it could be better with a little personality. I cannot comment about the beach as we...
Read moreNice beach, great for a swim. However, it has unfortunately been ruined by the bar that seems to think they own the whole beach. 95% of the beach is taken up by sun beds, that cost either €12 or €19, depending on how you look at the signs. We tried to put our towel down on in a “free” spot, squished near some sun beds, and were told to move by extremely rude staff as we were using a bit of shade provided by their umbrellas, which cost €10. We were planning on eating at the bar, after reading other reviews, however the attitude from the staff since put us off, and we ate elsewhere. Unless you’re planning on paying to use a beach, give this one a miss and don’t give...
Read moreThis was recommended to us when we visted piskopiano in 2023. We felt very welcome and loved the fact that we could move from beach to pool and back again for only 20 euros for 2 beds and a parasol. It’s clean. Lovely views and good food. The best part is the family who run the place. We found a deal to stay in Koutouloufari for cheap with not the best reviews. As we love the village so much we took the gamble knowing the we had this place as a back up! We only came twice in 2023 but we were remembered. This time we visted 3 times 10:30-6pm. (FYI - It’s...
