AVRA Creating Feelings — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

A fantastic restaurant in Hersonissos with an emphasis on Greek and Mediterranean cuisine! The space combines traditional and modern elements offering an amazing environment! The lighting, the plants, the furniture, the music, the pool in the backround, all really blend harmoniously and offer a tasteful aesthetic effect!!!! The food exceeds all expectations and can satisfy even the most demanding customer. All dishes are delicious and beautifully presented! It is worth trying the Soutzoukakia and the Beef Fillet. If you like seafood the choices are quite a few as well, especially the fresh fish of the day we ordered was very tasty and fresh! For dessert you can't fail to try the deconstructed lemon pie, it's simply outstanding! The wine list has several choices of Greek vineyards, and the Tropical signature cocktail is the perfect sweet and sour pairing! Finally, the staff was very, very polite and smiling with us and the prices were very good for the quality and quantity of the dishes! Also, the guys at the service desk also informed us about the breakfast served in the morning with several options! Furthermore, it is possible to take a dip in the pool of the restaurant in the morning hours enjoying anything from the menu! I highly recommend it, one of the best places we have...

We are from Romania and we came to Crete for a few days. We received a recommendation from some romanian friends to visit Avra restaurant in Chersonissos, where we would meet Carmen, the waitress at Avra. Carmen is a romanian woman who has been living in Crete for 30 years and speaks romanian language perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised when she recommended the best dishes we’ve had here, and even more, she cleaned the fish with enviable skill.

The entire time spent at the restaurant was amazing. We felt great, not to mention that she briefly told us about the island and recommended places/beaches to visit in the area. She knows Crete Island very well.

She is an extraordinary woman, and that’s why we kept coming back to this restaurant during our stay in Chersonissos
