Anatoli Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Chersonissos

Very nice place. Terrace to admire the sea, nice people to chat with, generous portions and delicious food. You shoud try schnitzels there! And Greek food! I tried most of their Greek menu I am happy to recomment all of it. Lamb and porc from the oven, dolmadakia and souvlaki - all are as good as I can wish. And fish dishes! I just have no words to discribe my emothions, I 'll be happy to come back and taste again their fish: seabass, sword fish or sardines? Or, maybe, salmon or shrimp salade? The great advantage of the place is that Rafael or Anna will always help you, their recommendations are very useful. My husband was fond of the home soup "Anatoli", but I can't choose at all. I just adore their cooking! Nice wine, nice raki, very good people. We stayed here when visiting Crete for 2 weeks. The food was really nice. We ate at other places in the time staying in Crete but this was by far the best and made other places disappointing in comparison. I really liked the mussels saganaki and stuffed vine leaves, other favourites among my group was the lamb (slow cooked), Grilled chops, Seafood pasta, fish soup, any of the fresh fish cooked on the grill, my sister loved the cakes (all homemade), there was literally something for everyone and every taste all at a really good price. I also had breakfast regularly all really nice, Greek coffee is lovely and strong. They also do some nice frappe’s, particularly liked the espresso one. The accommodations are as expected they are kept clean with fresh towels by the maids who are regularly attending to the rooms. Unser tägliches Highlight im Urlaub war ganz klar der Besuch in der Taverne Anatoli. Die Atmosphäre ist wunderbar entspannt und lädt sofort zum Wohlfühlen ein. Die herzliche Gastfreundschaft des Teams ist einfach außergewöhnlich – man wird nicht nur als Gast, sondern wie ein Freund empfangen.

Das Essen war ein absoluter Genuss: frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Jeder Bissen war ein kulinarisches Erlebnis! Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Aufmerksamkeit und Fürsorge – sogar bei einem kleinen Sonnenbrand unserer Tochter wurde sofort geholfen. Diese Herzlichkeit ist nicht selbstverständlich und hat unseren Aufenthalt besonders gemacht.

An Unforgettable End to the Day at Taverna Anatoli

The highlight of each day during our vacation was, without a doubt, our visit to Taverna Anatoli. The atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed and immediately makes you feel at home. The hospitality is truly outstanding – we were welcomed not just as guests, but as friends.

The food was absolutely delicious: fresh, authentic, and prepared with so much love. Every bite was a culinary delight! What touched us most was the genuine care and attention – even when our daughter had a bit of sunburn, they were quick to help. That kind of kindness is rare and made our experience truly special.

A heartfelt thank you for these wonderful evenings. We’re already looking forward to coming back on our next holiday. Until then, we wish you all the best and a safe, joyful time!

Αξέχαστο τέλος της ημέρας στην Ταβέρνα Ανατολή

Το αποκορύφωμα κάθε ημέρας στις διακοπές μας ήταν, χωρίς αμφιβολία, η επίσκεψή μας στην Ταβέρνα Ανατολή. Η ατμόσφαιρα είναι υπέροχα χαλαρή και σε κάνει αμέσως να νιώθεις σαν στο σπίτι σου. Η φιλοξενία είναι πραγματικά εξαιρετική – μας υποδέχτηκαν όχι απλώς ως πελάτες, αλλά σαν φίλους.

Το φαγητό ήταν απίστευτα νόστιμο: φρέσκο, αυθεντικό και μαγειρεμένο με πολλή αγάπη. Κάθε μπουκιά ήταν μια γαστρονομική απόλαυση! Αυτό που μας συγκίνησε περισσότερο ήταν η ειλικρινής φροντίδα – ακόμα και όταν η κόρη μας είχε λίγο έγκαυμα από τον ήλιο, μας βοήθησαν αμέσως. Αυτή η καλοσύνη είναι σπάνια και έκανε την εμπειρία μας πραγματικά ξεχωριστή.
