FANTASTIC MATALA 2 RENT ROOMS — Hotel in Municipality of Festos

This place is absolutely to be avoided, it was more of a nightmare and certainly not a Fantastic! The room was very dark and damp and internal, near a secondary road where all the guests passed constantly and it was practically like being in the middle of the road, and everything was made worse by the fact that the kitchenette in the room was located outside, and opened with an electric shutter and in fact the first evening I didn't even see it as I would never have imagined such a thing, furthermore the external light was burned out, and only outside was there a table to eat at so when it rained it was practically impossible to prepare even a quick breakfast and in the evening it was impossible to use it. The total lack of privacy also made everything more absurd, the curtains of the room or the balcony could never be left open because otherwise everyone could have seen inside. The room was dirty and even the soap dispenser was old and rusty (for how little a dispenser costs I wonder how it is possible not to change it) dirty bedspread, dirty floor and despite what was said, nothing was done. It was not possible to leave because everything was booked elsewhere. The owner did not warn me that the kitchen was on the street and not inside the room. When paying the owner made a tragedy because I did not have the cash to pay it, she repeated more than once and for over 10 minutes that she did not want to pay the taxes even though I had already booked on booking and already had my card details. It was all very embarrassing, especially when she insistently asked me for cash and I was asked why I was traveling without cash. Endless rudeness...

I stayed at Fantastic Matala for more than a week, and I must admit I found more than I could hope for: a combination of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. ||One of the standout features was how super clean the place was. I really appreciated the fact that they adapted to my routine and managed to refresh my room in the morning, allowing me to rest during the hottest hours of the day. ||The bed was incredibly (!) comfortable, ensuring a restful sleep, while great water pressure, strong WiFi and effective AC added to the convenience. ||The delicious morning cakes were a delightful treat, while Natasha and her family were extremely nice, always welcoming and responsive, making my experience there even more enjoyable.||The location is ideal, with easy access to the beach, shops and tavernas.
