Basic room, but a nice place centrally located just up from main market area - and easy to get to. You will fall in love with the elder couple that run the place to be sure. Try and find the time to sit with them and talk - they have been there a long time and seen all the changes that have happened in Matala, so they are a good history lesson.||||The place is basic, but had a hard bed but did have nice small balcony out front to hang any laundry if you need...or to sit drink a glass of wine...||||Breakfast was not included...but the price was so affordable we thought it was...

Welcome to offer/demand market.||The location is quite central (hard not to, in this small town), in a nice back street. This alley leads to the 'red beach' on the other side of the hill, so don't hesitate to take a walk there.||||No soap in the bathroom. Cash only. Dedicated parking in front. Nice elder people, but they will take your passport...
Read moreWe arrived at Villa Sylvia and were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome. ||There was free parking & wifi which was great and all worked perfectly! ||Villa Sylvia is a 1 min walk to the "centre" and beach. The beach is amazing and only 2euros for a sunbed. Matala is a beautiful place with lots of character. Gorgeous bars & restaurants.
