Pleasant friendly staff always, typical taverna setting where the chairs have seen more paint than Dulux.Fantastic view overlooking the bay across to the caves. The best home made Mousaka in Matala by a mile! I ate here several times over the weeks I was here. Look out next season for 'Fillet Steak with Blue Cheese Sauce' it's a must have. Just ask for it. Begged the owners to put it on the menu, absolutely delicious. The best Beef Stifado I found in Matala, thick chunks of tender beef with melt away onion in a rich sauce and believe me I tried several tavernas, the food here is just the best. The appetizer plate dips tasted like they were full of lard for 10 euro there were 4 of us and only 3 dolmathes. Our server was very kind and polite and they did allow us to have our dog join us. It is clear that the menu prices reflect the view not necessarily the quality of food.

We ordered the chicken gryo but received the pork which was inedible. Our kind server quickly changed it for the chicken without a problem which was nice. A brilliantly ran restaurant with tasty food and beachfront views. There was only one waiter who was very attentive despite there being 5 other tables ordering alongside us. The gyros and fried potatoes I ate were well seasoned and crispy and my mother thoroughly enjoyed her soup. I would recommend against ordering the Margarita pizza as it was very average however I assume most people dining at this establishment wouldn't be there to eat pizza.
