Horizon Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Folegandros

We had room No 9. It was renovated and clean. The view was great (Chora - Panagia church). Very close to Chora, 5-10’ walking distance. Still, after staying at the hotel, I find that 115€/ night is quite expensive (August-high season). |First day we arrived at about 15:00 and we had to wait in the reception because the previous renters had just checked out and they had to clean the room. If you have a policy for check in & check out you need to follow, cause we had to wait. Otherwise, do not mention this policy in your site!|Cleaning was every two days. They entered everyday the room for removing any kind of rubbish, but I think that they should clean the basic everyday and every two days changing the towels.|There was no hot water available, unless you had turned on the boiler (happy for having! But we have understood during the 2nd day, we were not told).|Wi-Fi was quite weak and the TV was not working properly - continuously due to the windy weather. Had a lovely stay here. Irene was really kind and helpful over email and throughout my stay. She let me check in early as well as check out late, based on the ferry schedule, which I really appreciated. She gave me a map after I settled in and showed me places that I could visit and where to eat (many restaurants were still closed when I arrived). Free large bottle of water in the room, and complimentary pick up and drop off at the port. I also needed to wash some clothes after a few sweaty hikes and she provided me with a small tub. ||The only issue I had was with the wifi, but to be fair, she told me ahead of time that the wifi didn't work in my room (you had to be on the balcony or just outside the door). She offered to change my room if it was going to be an issue, but I liked the room and the view so much I decided to just deal with it :p . Also, there is no shower curtain so move the toilet paper far away before you wash, otherwise, you're going to end up with a soaked roll like I did :). ||Because she is actually a resident of Folegandros, her hotel was one of the few that were open in May, but I would stay there again even with more...
