Kyma sto phos (Κύμα στο φως) — Hotel in Municipality of Folegandros

The hotel was cute and clean and the owner seemed very friendly. We really had a nice stay there with my friend for the first days. Anyhow, the last day, I realized that a small paper bag where I had my jewellery; two pair of diamond earrings and one necklace with silver and pearls, had disappeared from where I left it in our room. We were searching for a long time and absolutely everywhere, but the bag with the jewellery was gone. I thought that maybe the cleaning lady had in a mistake moved the bag or even throwed it away by accident. So I told the owner what had happened and asked if he knew anything. I also asked if I could speak with the cleaner and ask about the bag. I asked very gently, but the owner became pretty rude and barely listened to my story, he just repeated that there was absolutely no chance that the cleaner lady or somebody could have moved the bag. He also said it was not possible for me to talk to the cleaning lady. He just told me I had lost them by myself, which was ridiculous because I knew exactly where in the hotel room I had kept my jewellery bag. I had to left the hotel without my jewellery, and few days later I writed to the owner and asked for one time more. He answered that nothing had been found. This time though, he was more friendly and said he is sorry for my jewellery. The hotel was other wise nice, but left me a disappointed feeling after the disappearing of my jewellery. Also the way the owner handled the situvation; I felt like he immediately started defending and just repeated that it was not possible that somebody could have touched the jewellery, even by accident. I found this weird, because I didn’t blame anybody, I just tried to ask if he had any idea what could have happened. Other wise I could warmly recommend the place, but this was a unpleasant incident that...

Imagine staying in what could be described as an artist’s dream perfected over the years and literally on the edge of a cliff and one minute from the most beautiful Chora in Greece. The property is adorable, colorful and cheerful. You will have the most beautiful sunset view every night from the terrace. Rooms are basic but thoughtful and have everything you need. Please don’t arrive demanding or expecting five star luxury. The owner (Dimitris) is passionate about life and so helpful and couldn’t be nicer. He’s always smiling even while working non-stop in the sun keeping his property beautiful. You would be so lucky to stay here as it’s quite often booked up. A stay here is very special and perfect for the beautiful island of Folegandros. Thank you Dimitris and I cannot wait...

I have stayed at Kyma Sto Phos a number of times now. The views (especially from the terraces of the upper rooms are stunning) with the length of the island in front of you and sea to left and right. Kyma Sto Phos is set around the owners home right on the edge of a rocky outcrop, so nothing can block the view.||The compound is very pretty filled with flowers and reflects the character of Dmitris, the excellent and kind owner.||The rooms are simple - I don't want more - but cozy. Little details like a decent lip around the shower and a holder for the shower nozzle so that you can shower 'hands free' are welcome.||Rates are good especially for one of the finest...
