Belegra Aegean Tastes — Restaurant in Municipality of Folegandros

On 3rd trip to Greece, and we have enjoyed a wide range of cuisine throughout. So, we were pleasantly surprised in tasting three shared items that all were quite tasty, and each new to us in a key respect as well. Classic saganaki, but with fig jam -- of course!, how can we ever imagine it otherwise now? The caesarean roll with tomatoes, cheese and bit of meat -- like a large puff pastry with a savory focus. And, the moussaka flutes (like an egg roll). All wonderful, and by divine mystery just the right amount to have ordered! We dined in the lovely indoor setting with prevailing winds (bonus: very calming, relaxing background music), and they have outdoor seating too of course. Belegra Aegean Tastes is exceptional! Very welcoming, we'd met the owners briefly a few days earlier, and their hospitality was like they were greeting friends! We loved our night there, sitting at the little tables on the street , service was great, attentive, we were recommended a delicious rose wine that complemented the food perfectly. The potato salad was so fresh and flavourful, and followed by the green salad with beetroot, was the perfect foil for the rich, delicious pork souvlaki and fried meatballs with potato chips and tzatziki that followed! Nice place and nice, interesting flavours. I ordered the tigania pork (τηγανιά) and there were some pieces of pork (as it is supposed to be) and sausages (as it is not supposed to be) in this Greek plate. I was disappointed by this because I did not want to eat sausage and most importantly because sausage is not included in this food. When I asked them about it, they told me that it is not mentioned on the menu but it is the restaurant's specialty (which sounded a bit fishy to me) but at least they offered to change the plate.
