We booked a double room at this hotel with a bank transfer as a deposit of approximately 50%, for the period from August 17 to 20, 2025.|On August 14, my wife's mother passed away. We promptly informed them via email dated August 15, kindly requesting, the cancellation of the reservation and a refund of the deposit already paid, attaching the death certificate and apologized for the short notice, but as you can easily understand, it was not possible to plan for such an eventuality.|In the absence of a prompt response, we contacted them by phone on August 16, where we received confirmation that the email had been received and read.|However, their response was that you would only provide a refund if they were able to re-let the room; otherwise, there was nothing to be done. However, the outcome would have been confirmed by a formal reply to the email itself.|Since then, no response has ever been received, neither a reply nor a refund.|This behavior, besides being unpleasant from a human perspective, blatantly violates regulations.|As required by Greek, Italian and European tourism regulations, in the event of the death of a close family member, you are entitled to a refund for a hotel reservation, since this is a case of supervening impossibility and force majeure.|After that our lawyer wrote down them a formal inquiry, but till now no answer has been received...

The property is beautifully maintained and offers a truly remarkable view, which became the highlight of my visit.
