Piteoussa Guesthouse — Hotel in Municipality of Hydra

We stayed here for four days in June 2022. This guest house is lovely!!||The host: Yanis, is a friendly and very helpful man. Our requests and questions were dealt with fully and promptly at all times. ||The accommodation is lovely, spacious, airy, very well presented and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was modern, clean and bright and the outside of the building looks traditional and well kept.||The location is just a few minutes walk from the port of Hydra, and also conveniently close to many decent taverna's, but it is also very quiet with a private patio / garden in front with tables and chairs for the use of the guests. When we booked this place there was only a fairly cheap room left, we got room 2 on the ground floor. It was slightly disappointing given some of the lovely pictures online, but was good enough for our needs. It was clean and functional, and good value for money for Hydra. There was a bit of noise from the street in the morning, but it didn't bother us. The location is good, it's a fairly flat route from the harbour and less than 10 minutes to trundle the suitcase over the cobbled streets. The rooms are clean and hospitality is good, but in the night we couldn’t sleep because of noise! There is a road just under windows so all night even in 5am ppl after clubs, the horses and service vehicles passed by! Due to the strong acoustics there is an impression that all happening in your room:(( We came to relax in silence but unfortunately couldn’t sleep at all:( I don’t know about rooms upstairs and we actually came to this hotel because of hight ratings, but we are so disappointed..
