Ios fantasy — Hotel in Municipality of Ios

We came to Ios with a little apprehension about its reputation as a party island. We’re mature travellers who have been island hopping virtually every year for 2 decades. ||Anyhow, Ios Fantasy suited us perfectly. We weren’t disturbed at night. The room was well appointed and kept very clean. Stuff was changed daily. It’s a 5 minute walk from the Chora, although I’d call the distance to Mylopotamos Beach a bus ride rather than a walk. However, buses are every 15 mins, €1.80 flat fare and have very helpful conductors with good English. ||The lady of the house (never did get her name) was outstanding. Friendly, helpful, sociable and occasionally gave us fruit, cake and coffee. ||The transfer from the port was without issue. Didn’t use a transfer back because we moved to elsewhere on Ios. ||All in all...

Our stay at Ios Fantasy was good. The room was quite small but clean and it was the most affordable accommodation from our whole trip to Cyclades (we paid 46€ per night and we booked through Expedia). It is close to Chora but not inside Chora which is good since Ios is a party island and it gets noisy during the night. I don’t even know where to begin. Even though the hotel was really close to Chora(3-5 minutes away), our room was a bit small, especially the bathroom. The staff was very helpful, but the owner of the hotel was rude and her behavior was disrespectful, to say the least. Furthermore, when I wanted to go the bathroom, she sent me to a room where people lived in. I suggest you choose another hotel for your holidays, don’t waste your money on...
