It is not our first holiday in Paleochora. The Sandy Beach is well managed. The manager is very friendly and always tries to please the guests. The housekeeper takes care of the breakfast buffet and clean rooms in an exemplary manner. Babis the manager and Thassia the housekeeper are the soul of the hotel. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. We'll be back for sure.||||But what must absolutely be influenced?||||The booking also includes free use of the beach chairs and umbrellas on the assigned beach section.||||The Pachia Ammos, as the beach is called, is a beautiful long sandy beach. All hotels try to keep the beach clean and prepare the sun beds for the guests daily. However, the section of beach that hotel guests can use for free is by far the dirtiest part of the entire beach.||||If cleaning from the day before is done at all, then only half-heartedly. As a rule, you will find the beach and the loungers in the same condition as the tourists left it the day before. The employee who is responsible for this area looks like a vagabond, is unfriendly and you see him practically only cashing in for guests who are not at the hotel. The umbrellas and beds are desolate. Dog droppings in the sand, splinters of wood, plastic, washed up seaweed, foul-smelling vomit stay there until you feel compelled to clean them up yourself, or nature will eventually take over the task.||||Conclusion:||A really great place to stay.||Something urgently needs to be changed: the condition...
Read moreWe happened upon this hotel by chance after driving into Paleochora - we had nothing booked and wanted to stay 3 nights, walked into this hotel and thankfully Babis offered us with a great rate for a sea view room (#12) with a fantastic balcony on the 1st floor overlooking the beach. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean with air con and a fridge - the rate also included breakfast each morning. There is complimentary parking at the front of the hotel and the rate also covered the cost of sunbed rental on the beach. Our balcony had the sunshine from early afternoon until sunset - you couldn't ask for more! The welcome we received was so warm and friendly (typically Greek) and we didn't want to leave - on our 2nd day we decided to ask what availability there was so we could extend our stay. We were disappointed (but not surprised!) that the hotel was fully booked so unfortunately we had to move on but whenever we walked by - Babis gave us a wave and we will definitely return on our next visit...
Read moreWe stayed last year for 6 nights on our touring holiday. Haralombos (Babis) was an excellent host and I am sorry it has taken us so long to place the review. This was a fabulous hotel with lovely views of the sunset and gorgeous beach outside the door. Haralombos handled the booking directly and everything was clean and good quality. He had an amazing housekeeper who kept the place immaculate and even mended a hole in my cadigan one day with her sewing kit!! There was a fridge in the foyer to help yourself to beer etc instead of a bar as such and this was convenient and at the end of our stay I told Haralambos how many beers we had taken! What a hardworking pleasant host. I loved the town too, mostly locals floating about about after 6 days we were familiar with all the local dogs and cats! Could not fault this hotel and service. Our favourite place to eat was the Oriental taverna on the rocky beach. This hotel is a hidden gem and I am VERY fussy....
