Three rounds on sunday. |Other good news is this solid appartment building has rooms on first to third floor via a marble spiral staircase which is unsuitable for the elderly..we struggled.NO LIFT.|Also a No was the expected greeting upon artrtival.? Their is nobody 24/7 at the reception and its took 11 phone calls unanswered before finally the lady serving in the cake shop rang and got through. The supposed 5 minutes then stretched to 15. A frosty attitute followed because she blamed the ten minutes flight delay which was quickly rebuffed and not an acceptable attitude. . NOT a good start after 8 hours travel. |Luckily we had room 105 which was 4 beds, The 2 white bedrooms were spacious enough and the main one with airconditioning which was almost a lifesaver. The limited kitchen was small in sizeand not really possible to cook a meal. This suited us. Phots show 2 ring electric rings , a kettle ,coffer perculater and great fridge. Cups saucers plates and glasses complete the report.Narrow balcony with chairs and tablewas usefull. |Bathroom was about adequate for two people. . Includes shower but hot water was dubious to that. Needed better air extraction. |Also available was small TV with thre English speaking channels inc BBC news and Bloomberg. |As we booked this last minute at a bargain we could not complain and the fabulous elderly chamber maid was fantatic and a highlight. Helped a younger wife down that dangerous stairs. No real secure suitcase on leaving as checkjout is 11am. Thanks again the maid who cleaned daily. |Also BAD is the description of garden area. Its a Stone tiled small truncated useless area with two overgrown pines and no chairs or sunbeds plus an iron gate enterance. See photo. |PS KOS town is fabulous and a big surpise. I think Easyjet may be giving up on...
Read moreWe had to wait outside the appartment for 30 min for someone to show up so we could check-in. The woman from the reception was the most unmotivated and unfriendly person we’ve came accross in greece. We left our lugagge at the apartment and left immediately to get something to eat. Just after coming back, I almost had to vomit because of the stench. It smelled like a mixture between a dead animal and rotten eggs. The bad smell was unbearable. As if the smell wasn’t enough, the place was also really nasty. In the bathroom there were dead insects and ciggarette butts, and mold. The Bedsheets had ugly stains that looked like blood. There was hair and spidernets all over the floor. They provided shampoos that were the obviously already used. After seeing this and realizing we couldn’t stay there we tried to contact the receptionist in the night. As we couldn’t reach them we had to contact booking and they told us to get another hotel and that they were gonna reach out for the management of the apartment and help us get our money refunded.||We had to leave the Apartment at 2 am, searching for another hotel. We contacted the management of the apartment. After we shared our situation and that we wanted a refund for the four nights we had booked and didn‘t stay, the woman told us that she doesn‘t care and doesn’t believe us. Of course we took photos as evidence but she did‘t even care and accused us of faking them. After several calls and discussions she offered us to stay in another apartment for the nights we didn‘t sleep there. First of all we already paid another hotel, second of all we couldn’t stay in a nasty place like this. That’s why we wanted a refund for the days we had booked and didn’t stay. She told us that we were trying to scam her and didn’t refund us. We never saw the money again. Scam alert!!! Stay away travelers!!! These apartments should be taken down...
Read moreOur stay at the fantasia pretty much echoes the other poor reviews of these apartments. The building is in a decent location close to the town and restaurants so getting about is easy, the rooms are basic and tidy and although the bathroom was tiny it was reasonably clean and modern with an enclosed shower. The bedrooms are large and have free air conditioning, the beds however are typical of cheap Greek hotels and very hard, if your used to a soft bed be prepared for sleepless nights and waking up stiff from sleeping on what feels like concrete as the beds do not have sprung bed slats, they are just stiff wooden slats. There is no reception, on arrival we called the owners who turned up about 20 minutes later to let us into our room, which we expected after reading the other reviews, the maid service however was terrible. Our rooms were not cleaned every day, in fact the cleaning stopped after a couple of days and we eventually had to call the owners to send someone to get clean towels and empty the bins, no apologies no explanation. The restaurant below the apartments is no longer there, it's all boarded up and there is a nice skip in its place. The double glazing keeps out most of the traffic noise as you are on a 5 way intersection. On leaving you have to vacate your room at 12.30, we had an night flight so needed somewhere to store our luggage for the afternoon, we asked the owners if there was anywhere, they said no but we could pay extra to keep the rooms until 6pm. So take that into consideration. Overall.... you get what you pay for, ideal if you want a cheap place to stay and are prepared to put up with...
