Lovely Apartment Hotel. Rooms were a great size we booked a 5 bed, 3 bed and a penthouse, all could see the sea and the 5 bed and penthouse had pool views aswell. Rooms were cleaned every other day and fresh towels daily. Pool was relaxing and with a lovely breeze. Pool and jacuzzi temperatures were body temperature, not hot and not cold. Pools food and drinks were very good and well priced compared to outside with great service. Air-conditioning in the rooms was great, rooms were always cool. WiFi was available and seemed to work fine for me. There is a lift and luggage storage for your last day and it's possible to use the pool we and shower facilities before your flight. Extra room keys are also possible from reception but tpu may have to request from reception as they may need to have one made (locks are changed regularly). Everything in the room worked well including kitchenette facilities and tv's were YouTube compatible. Hotel has small place by reception to buy suncream towels etc. ATV Bike and moped hire from store at front of hotel and was great, we travelled the entire length of kos on the at and visited the mountains and old capital of kefalos on one, was awesome 👌. Hotel reception arranged a day tour with 8 seater vehicle to all the main tourist sites for our party, visiting ancient ruins, mountains and kefalos with sunset at the end. Great driver, very safe and patient, would highly recommend that. The small beach opposite hotel won't feature in many Instagram photos but was perfectly pleasant for a quick swim, lots of fish to sea snorkeling and beautiful warm water. Hotel provides shampoo and shower gel if you need it. Hot water is via solar eco-heater and can run out sometimes but this was manageable, particularly in August!! We booked private transfers but the hotel does offer them for a fee and should I return it would definitely take advantage of that. We were a large group of 9 so required a larger vehicle on this occasion. All the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending staying here, especially for couples and families with older children. It was calm with good service and great views and a 5 minute walk from the 'i love kos' sign at the main harbour in the centre.
We used the bodrum ferry a few times and found the best deal was to visit the ferry operators hut at the port, the tickets were discounted and included all the extra taxes. The staff said the discount was for visiting them directly instead of using online or tourist booking offices in town. And we also never had to queue to check in either, just picked up the tickets on the day and left. Usual tobacco rules apply when returning to kos from bodrum and they do check to see if you have exceeded the 200 limit (fyi), turkey however wasn't bothered how many you bring in. This is the perfect hotel for visiting Kos, great value, perfect location, great staff and amazing views with a lovely pool area. You will see the sea from most pool...
Read moreKos has a special place in my heart. After all, it's where my grandparents were born before they moved to Australia for a better life after the war. As an adult, I'm now reconnecting with Kos and I have been visiting at least once a year for the past decade - dragging my partner along with me. Overall, the quality of hotels in Kos town are absolutely appalling. I travel the world and have a fairly international life and it's the worst stock I have ever seen (and believe me I want to love it). Anyway, with all that said, Kos is a very affordable place to visit. Bristol Seaview is affordable and great value for money. It's spotlessly clean and the staff are more than welcoming. Our room was cleaned professionally and thoroughly on a daily basis, fresh towels and top sheets too. The pool area is great! I had the Seaview apartment which was like a large flat with a massive balcony and separate bedroom. One thing I must say, the attention to detail and presentation is lacking. Tacky 1960s plastic table liners on all tables, random ugly cheap cupboards in the hallways to house linen, used BBQs and junk in guest view, piles of used beach stuff/junk in foyer entrance and horrendous cheap plastic chairs everywhere. Why would you do that? As an ex hospitality professional I didn't understand that at all. Aesthetics and presentation are everything!! The pool bar area is screaming out for a renovation. In fact, I kept thinking/dreaming of how fabulous I could make it if I bought it. The actual building and exteriors are in good order, but it could be sooo much better with just a bit of love and thought. Overall, the hotel is good and the price is competitive, so you get what you pay for I suppose. Overall we were happy customers and my partner and friends had...
Read moreIn regard to our stay at the Bristol Sea View Apartments from the 15th – 21st August, 2018, we would make the following comments;||1.For most of the time that we stayed at the apartment, there was no hot water, only during the evening for showering for a limited period of time due to the hot water being dependant on Solar Heating. During the day there was no hot water available at either the kitchen sink or in the bathroom basin. ||2. The pool area was locked and inaccessible after 6.00pm. This rule would seem to be difficult to understand since the owners (ie reception) were due to be present until 9.00pm.||3. The Kitchen area was lacking basic essentials such as dishwashing liquid, brush || and scourer. No Toaster or salad or serving bowls or dishes were available.||4. There was insufficient lighting in the bathroom, especially for shaving and putting on || makeup. ||5. There was no ceiling fan in the room to move the air on a hot day.||6. There were no Reading lights available.||7. The Safe, where valuables were stored, required a key to lock the safe. This situation was unsatisfactory since a duplicate key may have been available.||8.No Iron or ironing board was available.||9.In regard to the use of toilets in several of the units /apartments that we stayed in Greece, there was a metal sign in the toilet area stating that “ No paper must be placed in the toilet “. This request was quite alarming since toilet paper containing human faeces should only be placed in the toilet for health reasons. What we believe the sign should have stated was that “only toilet paper should be placed in the toilet”.||||Overall...
