The island if Milos was our last stop after an amazing trip through Athens, Naxos, and Santorini. This lovely boutique hotel located about a 20 min drive from the ferry dock is located at the end of the village of Polonia. Beautifully situated backing onto the bay. Anastasia was so lovely providing us with hand written notes of her recommended highlights including restaurants. She also called and arrange for a car rental. All of which were spot on and she seemed quite pleased to listen to tales of our adventures upon our return. Breakfast was served buffet style with lots of options of the local cuisine. My friends husband mentioned how much he loves Loukoumades and wouldn't you know it, there they were at the breakfast buffet the next morning. Anastasia and Maria were more than happy have us join her in her kitchen for a cooking lesson. Our room was on the ground floor with a full kitchen, living area and bedroom. There was also a multilevel patio with a large dining table above and a wood fired oven and BBQ and bar seating on the lower deck which faced the bay. There was access to the water if you wanted to go swimming. I would not call it a beach as it was a bit rocky but the water was very clear and shallow. Well within walking distance of the village proper which had lots of restaurants, on mini mart and a few local...
Read moreThe location of this hotel is excellent, right on the water and within walking distance to downtown. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the setting. The accommodations were not nearly worth the price. Cleanliness was a big issue. The floors were dirty, the towels and sheets didn’t feel fresh, and we found dead bugs and spider webs in the room. Despite offering daily housekeeping, basic things like soap were not refilled. We made multiple requests to the host about cleaning, but nothing improved. It seemed like the staff wasn’t properly trained.
We stayed in the Boat Studio. Once the front door is closed, there’s no natural light, and the bathroom door doesn’t close flush, which makes it feel very cramped and uncomfortable. On our first night, we had no hot water or air conditioning. The host did respond quickly and replaced the AC unit the next day. However, the hot water issue was blamed on our late arrival, which happened because of a delayed ferry. There was no mention online that reception closes at 8 PM, so we had no way of knowing this in advance. The hot water stopped working again on our last day.
Overall, the location is the only real highlight. Everything else, from cleanliness to communication and basic comfort, was...

Right from the start Anastasia was a warm and welcoming hostess.
Unfortunately upon settling into our room an unexpected issue arose. We were worried thinking it would be viewed as our fault.
Au contraire Anastasia and her daughter were even more surprised and apologized profusely - working swiftly at 11 pm at night to prepare an alternative room for us, which turned out to be a very generous upgrade - at no extra cost.
Only positive things to say about the property and hostesses, staff, etc. - room was spotlessly clean and facilities were great.
Excellent value for money (even before the unexpected upgrade) highly recommended.
If you have the opportunity to stay in the Deluxe Studio, just go for it, totally worth it - it’s a gorgeous room with all the amenities, and a view/patio that alone are worth it.
Will be back next time...
