Simply the BEST of Greek hospitality and service from Nikos, Tassos, Anna, and family. They go above and beyond to get to know you and ensure your having a great stay. You're treated like friends, not just customers. Perfect location with stunning views looking over to Kimolos. It's only a few minutes walk into Pollonia and it's main beach, restaurants and shops. It was a real bonus that Apollon has it's own beach area with direct access from the terrace. Great for a cooling swim in the Aegean. We stayed in room 2 with a 1st floor balcony offering uniterupted views out to sea. A view that we won't forget in a hurry. The bar was well stocked, great selection of beers, cocktails expertly made by Anna, and spirits. You won't go thirsty! This is traditional simple accommodation without the fancy and unnecessary frills you may get from the other overpriced hotels near-by. Apollon is all about no fuss, superb service, and doing the simple things extremely well. 5 nights was not long enough and we absolutely intend to return...
Read moreThis hotel is located in a quiet area of Pollonia, but only a 5-minute to the "center" of the town where all the restaurants are. It is managed by a family along with the Soultana rooms in the same complex.||||The breakfast area faces the sea, as well as several rooms. There is a private beach with lounge chairs. ||||The rooms are simple but well appointed, clean and modern.||||But what I enjoyed the most was the relaxed approach of the staff. If you need something, they are very happy to assist. Unlike what I experienced in Santorini, no one hassle you to rent a car or book a tour. The brochures are there for you to take if you need them and for me it's an appropriate approach.||||Milos has nice sand beaches and the bus system is well organized. I finally found a mailbox by the tourist office at the port in Adamas, there was none to be seen in Pollonia.||||In short, an excellent place for a stay that can be as relaxed or busy...
Read moreWe arrived a day late due to the June Ferry strike and our trip was cut short. This was the one place we definitely could have used MORE time. The hotel is run by a lovely family and their friendly staff - when there they treat you like family! Homemade breakfast all the way to the homemade bread, pastries, and jams. Breakfast served by the water. They have kayaks and canoes right there for the residents to use. we had a balcony overlooking the water and they had an extendable laundry rack on the balcony. It is nice and clean - has a new feel but old Greek Island charm. Walking distance to Pollonia Beach which has restaurants, shopping and groceries. Reccommend a car to see all the AMAZING beaches that Milos has offer. Of the 10 or so islands I have been to in Greece - Milos is my new favorite and I will bring my husband next time and...
