First and foremost the hotel is stunning. The setting is beautiful. It’s designed in the style of a Greek village with white washed walls and exposed stone, alleyways and narrow steps. We couldn’t get enough of how pretty it was.|Breakfast is worth the 30EUR per person hands down. Probably the most luxurious breakfast we have had at a hotel. ||The room (we had a Junior suite with a private pool and large terrace with sea views) was immaculate and overall comfortable. Housekeeping was one of the best we have ever experienced - even the terrace got washed every day!!! Customer service overall was top notch - I remember reading an earlier review saying staff were expecting tips all of the time. That is nonsense. Not once have we felt we needed to tip!!!||Now the slightest niggles: we could hear music up and until 2am even with earplugs. So if you are a light sleeper, you won’t get a quiet night.|The room had NO desk or table. There was a tiny coffee table type table tailgate fitted a couple of bottles of water and that’s it. And bedside tables. But nowhere to put things like sunglasses, handbags, watches, drinks, etc.|There was also no shelves storage - just a long low level bench style shelf under the open air hanging space. It would have been nice not to have all the clothes and stuff in your sight all the time.|The bathroom was tiny. Again with NO worktop space or vanity. So all your toiletries and make up had to stay in a bag in a suitcase because there was literally nowhere to put it.|The beach by the hotel is probably one of our least favourite. First of all despite what previous reviews state beach club lounges are not included in the price of the hotel and are around 80EUR each for the day. Secondly the coral reef/sharp rocks are really close to the shore and me and several other cut our feet really badly. Most other beaches on the island are much nicer. So if beach is one of the main reasons for you, I would avoid this hotel.|Finally, the hotel consists of 2 sections which are set relatively far away from each other and on a very steep hill. Whilst transfer cars are available all the time, it is something to consider because should you go up to the infinity pools and forget something in your room, it’s a 20-30 minute back and forth waiting for the cars etc. not a big deal but something to bear in mind.||The hotel being a 7 minute walk from Cavo Paradiso was an absolute pleasure so from that point of view it...
Read moreIt was my first time in Mykonos and at Tropical Hotel, as a solo traveller I must say that 4 people in the hotel made my stay soo special CONNIE, ELENA, GEORGE AND CLAUDIA.
Tropicana Hotel Staff were very well-trained, welcoming, friendly and looked after me very well. George was absolutely amazing, he helped me, took the initiative to help and support me with my luggages. He was fantastic, spoke very well and was able to entertain me, which I loved! He was very knowledgeable of Mykonos and recommended me the best places to go!
Connie in the reception upstairs was very welcoming, she was very helpful. She was very friendly, warm and loved seeing her in the reception upstairs. She showed me around and gave me a tour of the beautiful restaurant, showed me to my table and told me if I needed anything she would be there to support me, which I loved. Anytime I requested for something, Connie would immediately be happy to fulfil my request, with a positive attitude, great body language and a genuine smile in her face always. She was always calm, generous and warm, she also recommended me the best places to visit in Mykonos and highlighted, hotel services and products. We had many conversations, she always had something interesting and funny to say. Great personality and I hope to see her again upstairs when I book the Vila, I will be requesting for to give me a tour as she is AMAZING!.
Claudia showed me to my room, and she was amazing, gave a tour and showed me all the amenities, including the jacuzzi and how to work with it. I also had a small situation with my phone and she helped solve it for me which was brilliant, Claudia if you ever read this, never change who you are! She is A PROFESSIONAL and I will miss her very much!
I met Elena Manager and the rest of the team downstairs Reception, Elena was amazing, very professional, had an amazing smile, and she loved to have a chat. She knows how to take care of the guests and knows what I need before I even ask. She was a truly lovely person to meet, and I would love to see her and the team again!

As soon as we entered the hotel, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Claudia, the receptionist. She was upbeat, informative, and made us feel right at home. Claudia gave us a complete overview of the hotel, explaining the differences between the hotel rooms, suites, and villas, as well as providing invaluable local tips, like how many taxis were available in town and must-visit spots in the area. She even set up our transportation for the reservations we had made before arriving, which was incredibly helpful.
The concierge team was also amazing. They handled our luggage from the moment we arrived, taking it up to our room and bringing it down when we checked out. Just a heads-up, the hotel has a lot of steps, but the concierge staff will take care of that for you.
The on-site restaurant offers great food, and it’s located near the beautiful infinity pool with stunning views. However, the sunbeds and cabanas are first-come, first-served, so if you want a spot by the pool, make sure you arrive early. The second level also has another pool with a swim-up bar that plays awesome music, creating a fun vibe. It’s the perfect spot for photos!
One of the unique perks of this hotel is that guests get free entry to the beach bar across the street. The music is a fantastic mix of house and hip-hop, creating a lively atmosphere—definitely a must-experience if you enjoy a good beachside party.
I also had the pleasure of visiting the spa calliope that is connect to the hotel and I highly recommend it! I opted for the candle wax massage, and my masseuse, Nina, did a fantastic job—it was an easy 10/10. My friend got the 24-karat gold scrub massage and also rated it a 10/10, so the spa services are definitely worth trying.
Overall, my stay at the Tropicana Hotel was perfect, and when I return to Mykonos, this will definitely be where I stay. If you’re looking for a place with great service, beautiful amenities, and a fun atmosphere,...
