Tasos Taverna — Restaurant in Municipality of Mykonos

Out of three meals: grilled octopus, fried squid and mussels, the first two were awful: octopus was cold and like bubble gum and the squid...small portion and not looking fresh at all. The mussels meat were almost all out of the shell somewhere on the bottom of the plate... This does not happen to fresh mussels! But what surprised me most was the final bill: the included an extra 6-7 euro in the bill for the "welcome snack" - some bread and sauce they brought just in the beginning, before we made our order. Common, you are not supposed to charge something I did not order! Attention, the seafood meal portions are small! However we noticed the pasta meals on some other tables being quite large. We came in becasue we saw a lot of people inside, comparing to other tavernas on nearby beaches. We(2 adults 2 children) left disappointed...

He he! There was a complimentary desert at the end! Neither us or kids liked it. I'm surprised they did not include it in the bill like they did with the...

The beach is beautiful and it's your best option at this beach, certainly the most budget friendlt, but we were someday unimpressed. Food was a little bland, unlike most other places we ate around the island. Salad leaves were a little bitter. Bread basket gets placed on table, only to find out at the end that it's 2€ per person. We had a crawling bug in the salad - which we sent back and didn't pay for. Waiter explained that all veggies are washed well, with vinegar, but the bug may have come from the trees (? we were sitting under an umbrella). We also wanted to leave a nice tip, after all, and asked for change so we can leave some, but for "some reason" they only broke it down into 20s, then 10, then we asked again and got 5s, essentially making it important to leave any tip between 5 and 10, which was annoying. In summary- if you stay or visit here, it's your best bet and the budget option. But it...

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local and we were so happy we tried it! The food was so good that we actually came here twice on our trip, despite a bit of a long drive from our hotel - and it was worth it both times.

We had their risotto, kebab platter, calamari, and zucchini fritters and the food was absolutely delicious. Really loved their complimentary bread and spreads too, it made the meal that much better. Their servers were very friendly and helpful as well.

The location may be a bit far away from Mykonos town but it’s definitely worthwhile to drive out here and relax by the scenic beach while dining on this delicious food - one of our favourite spots in Mykonos and we’ll worth your money.
