I visited late-May as a solo female traveller. I asked the taxi driver to drop me off at ‘a beach’ (the extent of my planning for the 1 day I was in Mykonos…) and this was where he took me. Didn’t expect much and was pleasantly surprised. The club was perhaps at 50% capacity 4PM til close, so lots of space for visitors as high season wasn’t yet in full swing. The sun loungers were clean and the beach was absolutely beautiful. Good looking, interesting characters milling about to people watch.
The highlights of the club were the staff and prices. The staff were super friendly - the door guy, bartenders, floor staff and even the dancers were great to interact with! A fun, accommodating group and I felt safe the entire time.
The cocktails were 2 for €14 and the liquor to mixers ratio was generous compared to the UK & Australia. I didn’t have anything to eat to judge the quality of the food, but the restaurant staff were relaxed about me chilling out in the restaurant as it was fairly quiet in the late afternoon.
Next door was the Tropicana Beach Club, where visitors can easily wander over. I intended to do this but had a cocktail in hand and was told by the Tropicana door guy to finish the drink before entering. I ended up wandering back to the Paradise club’s bar and never left the rest of the evening! Shout out to the excellent bartender with the most beautiful baby blue eyes I’ve ever seen :) Never got his name, but I suspect that happens quite abit in a place like Mykonos..
Although the tail end of the night became abit of a blur (sign of a good time!), the Paradise beach club was overall great for a cheeky, casual day out.
Would certainly recommended a visit. And I’ll be swinging by again in early August when I’m in town to catch a gig at...
Read moreThe only positive thing about this place was the cove where the beach is located and the lovely host forgot his name. Waiters had such low negative energy and seemed very bothered to be at work. No one came back to you to see if you wanted to order anything else and they would not clear tables by the beach umbrellas. We also then found out through a guest if you walked up to the bar to get your own drinks they had buy one get one free cocktails. But a select few…Good deal but all sweet cocktails I therefore requested a very simplistic drink which was lime juice and tequila eliminating all other sweet mixers. I was met with “oh just so you know this is an exception would not do this if we were busy so this is the only time I do this.” There were two ingredients which in actual fact was less of a hassle to make. And opted for one drink as opposed to the two paying the same price but again eliminating the hassle. My response was “do not worry have no intentions of returning.” Finally there was the begging for a tip if you paid on card. With some desperate device to the PDQ???We as a group have generally tripped after the entirety of service usually by cash but it was also the approach. Tips are discretionary that usually signify good service none of which was received. A shame because the beach itself is beautiful. Oh and barely had anything on the food menu the waiters could have gone the extra mile explaining this upon issuing the menu but it took requesting 5 or more items to be told we don’t have this…would have been easier if they...
Read moreWe had an amazing time at Paradise Beach Resort overall! The bar and restaurant staff were outstanding – super friendly, welcoming, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The beach was beautiful, and getting chairs in the morning was easy, which made for stress-free beach days.
The party scene was perfect – lively and exactly what we were hoping for during our stay. The rooms were good, although we did have a problem on the first night when one of the beds had a bad smell. The security/on-call staff that night were incredibly helpful and resolved the issue quickly.
However, the only major downside was the male receptionist. After the bed issue, he repeatedly made unnecessary comments about how we had “woken him up at 5 AM,” and continued to blame us for the situation throughout our stay. He even threw money at one of my friends at one point, which was completely disrespectful. He also gave us attitude when we asked simple questions, like checking the bus schedule.
Check-out was especially unpleasant – while on the day we arrived, he had one of his staff help carry our 4 large suitcases up multiple flights of stairs, on the day we left, he refused to help us bring them back down, and just stood there watching as we struggled. He didn’t offer assistance or ask anyone to help, which felt needlessly rude and dismissive.
Aside from this one individual, we truly loved our stay and would definitely return – hopefully with better front desk...
