Iason Villas – Villas in Maleme Chania Crete — Hotel in Municipality of Platanias

Wow! I mean, just WOW! What a magnificent place. We were looking for a villa for ourselves and our guests for a destination wedding in Crete. We originally booked a different villa, and due to space restrictions, we had to cancel. Best cancellation ever! We then found Iason Villa's and knew it was our perfect place.

Not only did it comfortably fit all of our guests (we rented all 3 villa's) but it created the most beautiful setting for our wedding and a marvellous holiday. The main villa is huge! With 8 bedrooms, we never felt crowded. Some rooms we barely even used. The outdoor pergola hosted not only our wedding dinner but also all of our dinners for the week. It provided a space for us all to come together at the end of the day and share our adventures on the island.

At first, I was concerned that Maleme might be a little 'sleepy' compared to some of the neighbouring towns, but I was wrong. We could easily walk to several tavernas and we didn't have a bad meal in Maleme (and we spent a lot of time eating!) Some of our guests didn't even rent a car, but because of the convenient bus stop, they were able to easily travel into Chania.

Our hosts Michalis & Claire were fabulous at accommodating our party and promptly replied to our many emails. Miss Katerina is an amazing asset. She popped in to make sure everything was OK and even brought us a freshly baked cake, which we all enjoyed on our boat trip to Balos Lagoon. She kept the villa's clean and helped us with all of our requests. Many apologies Miss Katerina, we tried to leave the villa's in a tidy state but ran out of time to empty the many refrigerators.

All of the swimming pools were used, but the main one, was enjoyed by everyone. It's just so beautiful. Also, our children spent many joyful hours on the trampoline.

While staff was on the property, we got to share the vast gardens with the resident chickens - we loved that! And the prerequisite cats came to visit the children also.

I can not recommend this property highly enough. We spent the most amazing week in Crete and Iason Villa was the centre of it all. Thank you for sharing your exquisite property with us. I can only hope that I'll be back.

We had a fantastic two weeks in four bedroom villa Aphrodite. It is one of three villas on the large well-kept property at Iason Villas. All rooms had an en suite plus there was an extra toilet on the ground floor. The rooms are absolutely huge. We had planned to put kids in a separate room but ended up having two cots in our room as there was so much space. The location was great, very quiet with hardly any road noise. You can see the sea from upstairs rooms as well as nice views of surrounding hills. There are hotels along the beach front but none were particularly noisy during our visit in September. There is a supermarket with basics at the foot of the drive, and a bigger one about 10 minutes away on foot or two minutes in a car. Several restaurants can be easily reached by walking. Katerina was absolutely lovely and kept the villa so clean. She did a thorough clean four times during our two week stay including fresh towels. The villa was very well equipped with plenty of crockery and cooking implements, toastie maker etc. They even provided orange pool towels in addition to the white bathroom ones. For small children they were happy to provide high chairs (attached to the inside dining table) and cots. One thing we weren’t aware of was that one bedroom was in the basement, we had originally planned to put toddlers in a separate room but didn’t want them on a floor alone, so changed around our configuration. With friends - 4 couples, we were from 4.9. until 11/09/2022 guests in Maleme near Chania in Villa Afrodita – Iason Villa. The reservation was made directly via e-mail. The booking process was very easy and transparent. Help was provided in the organization of transport and all questions related to accommodation. Despite the fact that we arrived late at night (1:00 AM), we were welcomed and familiarized with all the special features of the accommodation. There was 250m2 of living space, 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and additional toilet, a large kitchen with a living room, a barbeque area and a large pool and deckchairs. The surroundings were well maintained. The entire villa is also air-conditioned. The kitchen was fully equipped with a large double fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. Our stay was made even more pleasant by Katerina, who always made sure that we had everything at our disposal. We took advantage of the welcome basket, and the surprise was a homemade cake that she prepared for us. Towels and bed linen were changed halfway through the stay. The pool was cleaned daily.
