Just got back from a great 2 weeks staying at Edem Beach, friendly greeting on arrival.||The apartment was great, 1 bedroom with twin beds, large double wardrobe with plenty of drawer space, dressing table and bedside tables, patio doors leading to the balcony, ||Bathroom with shower was ok, need to get a shower early in the evening or the hot water runs out on cloudy days.||Living area was very large, sofa bed, table & chairs with patio door leading to balcony ||Limited kitchen utensils but managed ok, no kettle on first night, but asked at reception next night and we got one the next day, so problem solved.||We were on half board, breakfast was cereals, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, cucumber, tomatoes, crusty bread, yoghurt, honey, jam, cake, tea, coffee & orange juice. So I for one found this very satisfactory.||Can't comment on the evening meals as we chose to eat out as we went to meet my parents every night||All the rooms face the same way having a view of the sea/ pool and you get to see the Sun set every night, which was beautiful.||Cleaners came in nearly everyday to empty bins and probably every 2 days to just make the beds, towels changed about every 3 days.||Rooms weren't hot at all, so no aircon needed, not sure what it would be like in Summer though||Safe key €2 per day and free WIFI which worked perfectly all the time we were there||Pool side sun beds free, on the beach €5 per day for 2 sun beds, umbrella & table||So would work out quite dear if you went everyday but we alternated between both.||Poolside bar also does snacks in the day which were very nice. I for one will certainly use the apartments again, most likely next year, I'd only read one review that was from UK and it was all negatives, I didn't see any of what had been written||||Top Tip: White Lady for great food & entertainment, and the owners will make you feel welcome, just up the road 2 mins walk||Dionysos great food, other side of the road about 5 mins walk||There's a lovely little bar called Bele Ellen, I had coffee there as you get home baked cake with it, Ellen the owners Mum makes it, about 5 mins walk on the same side as Edem beach, next to this is the Vista pool bar which is very nice, free sun beds but obviously you'd feel obliged to have a drink or snack, food was also good here, even done homemade chips...
Read moreWe've visited this hotel in September 2019. ||When We came to hotel - there was nobody on reception, So We were waiting for 20 minutes. Then, an owner of this hotel came to us. She was not hospitable at all. ||I can not understand 1 thing: if you know that the clients should come at appropriate amount of time why you being late and make them wait for so long. ||||Everyday Breakfast was similar. One day in oat-flakes I found a dead moth. It was awful. ||||During almost every breakfast there were not enough cups for coffee. So I had to divide a single cup of coffee with my wife. ||||All tables were always dirty and with dirty dishes. ||||Nobody cares whether they clean or not, it is important only 1 thing: make guests buy drinks. ||||Drinks were only during breakfast. This is absolutely insane. Why not include their cost for dinner into general price of hotel during booking. Total craziness. ||||Air conditioner was paid: 6 Euro per 1 usage + note: you can not remain it turned on and leave apartment since electricity in every apartment is tied on apartment key which has magnetic device for enabling electricity. ||This is craziness: this is a mandatory base thing which must be available for free. Again: why not include this into general apartment price? ||||Also ironing board is absent. So you'll need to iron your clothes directly on the table. ||||Owners do not care of guests. They see only money. ||||Shower stall had a poor quality and it was extremely sophisticated to open/close it every time. Also, from time to time - there was a sewerage smell in the bathroom. ||||WiFi was extremely poor and slow. ||||From advantages: ||1. First line which leads directly to the beach ||2. Good swimming pool ||3. 2 rooms apartment with good balcony for drinking coffee. ||||Based on above summary me and my wife can not...
Read moreHallo liebes Hotelteam,
