Easily one of the best restaurant experiences we've had in Crete, from the extremely accommodating staff to the absolutely incredible food and amazing service. This restaurant is exactly what you want when looking for a true Greek experience of incredible food and true hospitality.
They offered an amazing array of local cuisine that I'd highly recommend anyone to try! With some of the best real homemade tatsiki on the island, an incredible locally sourced Shrimp Saginaki or just the classic Souvlaki and Mousaka all made fresh to order from local produce. Such amazing food is always the most important thing for a restaurant but when your greeted with such an amazing team of staff it really tops off the experience! With a special shoutout to Michalis/Michael he is an incredible character and manager who just brings amazing hospitality for his customers and is always smiling and tending to all your needs even on the busiest of night.
It's a must visit location if your ever in the local area, and we will definitely be coming back!!🇬🇷
My only regret is not getting more pictures to remember the place since it was such a great memory...
Read moreEverything started when I asked, before we ordered, if it was possible to get a basket of bread so we could think a bit and decide on starters and mains. The waiter simply said no and was extremely rude, which immediately created a bad atmosphere. Still, I wanted to give the food a chance, because I didn’t want one person’s pathetic behavior to ruin the whole restaurant experience.
The food itself was good, but far from the best, and none of the dishes were fully eaten. The staff who serve the food really need proper training in how to respond to customers. If they are fed up with tourists, they should understand that this is their livelihood.
A woman sitting next to us asked for a completely different wine label, but the same waiter told her, “this is what you ordered.” It was shocking.
I am writing this so the owner can take action and fix what is clearly a problem. I always leave a tip, but this was the first time in my life I didn’t. One man managed to ruin the...
Read moreMy family and I were at this restaurant on 15.08. We were waiting for starters for 40 minutes with beverages only. Retsina had rotten smell and was very low quality. Beer tasted like it was diluted. Also, we had tee, that waiter brought too early, so the tee became cold when the actual meal came, and there was soo few bolied water, that the cup was not full. Then, we got our marem salad, which had too much vinegar, four kinds of cheese saganaki, which looked and tasted like an ordinary cheese from microwave (really overpriced meal), and snails. We are not experts in snails, so we did not find them neither delicious nor awful. After 30 minutes we got our main courses. Crete's chicken was too tough, pork in lemon sauce was sour (maybe it should be like this). Lamb in pot also didn't give us any satisfaction. Cretan pie was nice; unfortunately, it was the only thing that we enjoyed.
Overall, we were waiting too long, almost every piece of food was bad. Our expectations were...
