Pinelopi Hotel — Hotel in Municipality of Rethymnon

We had a wonderful stay at the Pinelopi Hotel in Platanes, Crete. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed by Pinelopi and her friendly family-run team, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Receptionist Panagiota was a treasure, and even WhatsApped us suggestions of great restaurants and sights to visit. Even the bus timetable! The hotel is beautifully kept, spotlessly clean, and provides a quiet, cozy atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing. The air conditioning worked wonderfully to keep the room cool at night. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the kitchenette was well equipped with everything we needed. The Wi-Fi was reliable. The lovely pool area was clean and well-maintained with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The location is perfect, the beach and a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants were just a short walk away, along with convenient access to buses for exploring nearby towns like Rethymno and Chania. Lovely! We stayed here for 2 nights in September. A very last minute booking. The hotel is set down a very quiet lane but within 2 minutes walk to both the gorgeous beach and the opposite way to the main street with lots of nice shops, supermarkets , coffee bars and some very good tavernas. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is a bother. The rooms are a little dated but super clean and well equipped. Nice balcony too for the sunsets. The pool and garden are well maintained and very nice for a quiet day. No children's stuff here, but great for adults. I really liked it here and it was good value. I would have scored 5 but we found the beds too hard and a little update would improve things. That said I would...

I have been in the Pinelopi hotel twice already! We enjoyed it :) . Hotel is clean and the all Pinelopi team is very friendly. Location is fantastic, very close to the sea and only few kilometers from beautiful Rethymno. Area is also great, I the season I guess the city never sleeps, many restaurants and gift shops. Local people are friendly. Hotel has a swimming pool and access to the internet which is super good. Every room has a kitchen where you can find all you need. Pinelopi was super kind and helpfull.
