Del Mar Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Rhodes

We're 5 nights in to our 12 night stay at Del Mar Studios, and for a budget room, it's fantastic. Keys and details are left on door handle of room upon arrival. Atmosphere Bar next door were very helpful for any questions we had. Room includes safety deposit, fridge/freezer, air con, kitchenette, comfy beds (for Greece). Only minor negative is the shower. The Greek's don't realise how cheap shower curtains/screens are, so the bathroom becomes a wet room! Shower itself is warm and powerful.|Cleaner every day so far with fresh towels and bed linen, and did a sterling job tidying our room.|Very little noise from road or bar next door, nothing to be concerned about.|For the money, it's a quality studio (especially by Greek standards).|As no pool at the studio, we've spent most of our time during the day at the nearby 4* lindos view hotel. Excellent pool facilities with friendly staff, only a 5 minute walk up the hill out the town.|The resort itself is extremely hilly, its not suited to anybody with walking difficulties.|The studio is 5 mins walk from all of the quaint bars/restaurants of Lindos town, unlimited amount to choose from. Average local beer is €4 all over. |15mins walk to nearest beach. St Paul's beach is disappointing, sunbeds and parasols have been squeezed in so tightly, its impossible for us peasants with towels to get a spot. The parasols don't go down, so there's also limited sun if paying for a bed.|The other 2 beaches under the acropolis aren't as bad, crystal clear water and cracking beach bars.|Would definitely recommend staying at Del Mar again, don't be put off by lack of...

Let's get the negatives out of the way first. Booked our room through booking.com and was told I would be contacted to arrange payment which I never was. Arrived late on in the dark to keys left in the door with a note with our name on. Struggled to find in the dark. Within the note it said that payment would be collected in cash at 10am the next morning. The safe was a further 28 Euros for 6 days but air con included. Think the whole checking in/payment process needs looking at.||The room was basic but extremely clean and tidy. Cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Felt spacious for a double room and the view over Lindos town was beautiful. ||Took max 5 mins to walk into town - perfect. Couldn't ask for a better location. Located next to Atmosphere Bar which was excellent.||No pool but we walked to Lindos Athena every day where friends were staying.||Shower was a bit rubbish as you had to hold the shower head but got used to it and plenty of hot water. ||Overall, was very impressed. Del Mar is located very near to Lindos Reception ( drop off/pick up point) high up at the top of Lindos village on the edge near St Pauls Bay. A walk across the small car park gives you an amazing view of St Pauls bay, the Acropolis and Lindos village, beautiful.||The bar to the front of the studios is not noisy and the staff are lovely. The studios were spotless and the cleaners regular and friendly. Air con was free, shower powerful, toaster, hob and kettle provided. Hair dryer in bathroom and complimentary toiletries. However no wifi - we stayed in number 5. Can use Atmosphere bar wifi perhaps in other studios but ours did not connect.||We were on the ground floor so view was limited from windows, but just outside the door you could see the acropolis and ocean.
