Portobelis Apartments Sitia Crete — Hotel in Municipality of Sitia

My wife and I travelled with "Greek Sun Holidays, who also arranged the car hire with Portobelis Travel agency, which was useful as we could pick up and return it to Herakalon Airport. We travelled on the 7th September 2013 and stayed here for 11 nights. The accommodation is very good. We had a Studio with a balcony overlooking the seafront - brilliant for people watching. The studio was nicely fitted out and well equipped. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioning was effective and quite. The people at Portobelis where very friendly and very helpful. The accommodation is in a prime position on the seafront pedestrian way and handy for the beach (1 min. away) and only a few minutes walk to the town centre along the promenade. My wife and I returned here again this year (having first been here in 2013). I still rate these apartments as excellent both in quality and location. The people who run Portobelis are very friendly and helpful, it really does add to make the holiday so enjoyable. Take no more than 20 steps from the front door and your on the town beach (which by the way is excellent), with the main town area being no more than 5 minutes away. The town of Sitia is really a lovely place, if you visit, go to the Tuesday market, its well worth the experience. Having visited well over 40 islands and places in Greece over the last 30 years sometimes when you go back it doesn't seem as good as the first time you went, not so with this establishment (and town), top marks and justifiably...

Recently had a wonderful stay at Portobelis in Sitia. This small hotel sits above their tour office and directly across from Sitia Beach. My room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. I loved sitting on my balcony and gazing at the beautiful sea. There are tavernas along the beach with a wide selection of choices and you are only a few minutes walk from the main town. I rented a car from them for a few days and their helpful staff gave me directions to some great secluded beaches on the east end. I have stayed at other hotels in Sitia but found that Potobelis gives you peace and quiet, a great location, and a friendly staff for half the price of the bigger hotels. Looking forward to...
