My wife, our baby and I spent time every day at their beach area during our two-week stay. Unlike most of the other places along this beautiful beach — where you’re required to pay €10 or more just to sit on a sunbed (and access to the beach is practically impossible without doing so) — at Basilico, you only pay for what you consume. So if you just order a Coke, you only pay for the Coke, no hidden fees, no pressure — and you’re welcome to enjoy the stunning beach for as long as you like.

Visited Basilico in Sitia and, honestly, paying 25 euros for a small portion of shrimp and calamari felt a bit ridiculous—seafood was tasty, but the serving was surprisingly small for the price.
