Stayed at the Lord Complex for a few days in August 2025. Some good and some bad opinions.||Arrived late at night, owners seemed confused to see us. We had booked a renovated room which was beautifully furnished and exceeded expectations. Bed very comfortable. Even had a small kitchen to make your own food.||Had to pay additional 28 eur for air-con, which I would prefer was just added to the initial price of the hotel booking, as it is essential in that heat. 8 eur government tax too which is no problem, although we got charged this on the last day randomly - would rather pay at the start.||Food and drink at the pool bar was expensive and limited. 5 eur a beer and 3 eur an ice cream I'd say is too much for a hotel of this budget. Unfortunately not much Greek food on the menu.||Staff at times were friendly and made small talk, the owner helped us to book a car one day at a reasonable price (although this was also the same company as the complex).||The issue I had is I got the impression that we weren't really as welcome because we only stayed for a few days and were on a tight budget. The staff appeared to favour bigger groups who all get a full English breakfast every day and sink about 10 beers each. I get it, it's business sense, but we would probably have spent a bit more on food and drink there if the prices were reasonable.||Upon checking out we were initially told 11am, then at 10am a maintainance man was sent round to fit a door handle which wasn't broke and we were told to check out now. Had to quickly finish what we were doing and head down to the pool. Felt very rushed out. Transfer back wasn't til 7.30pm and nowhere to really get changed (pool toilet/shower but floor was always wet) - so ended up with suitcases round the pool trying to get sorted.||Complex is a long walk from the main town and also attracts a lot of wasps (hotel not to blame for this, they're everywhere in Corfu!).||That being said the Complex and the pool area/grounds are very nice, it's a good place to take the kids and relax. There's a lot of families there. But I wouldn't go back, mainly due to the...
Read moreWe got the basic rooms which we were very happy with- we don’t stay in hotels much so all we needed was basics and it had everything we needed for a week. Staff were all very friendly and owner very accommodating. The owner checked us in at 1am and was very friendly. Rooms were cleaned everyday by an amazing cleaner. A pipe bursted and flooded the room (this was not anyone’s fault and sometimes these things happen) we were given a new room immediately, we also accidentally jammed the front door locked but it was fixed by when we got back- any issue was not a problem to fix and no hassle.
The location is perfect quiet area 5 mins walk to the beach and 2 mins from supermarkets& cafes/restaurants. Lots of facilities in this area and hotel also offered car rental which was very handy. Highly recommend this place and there is also luxury rooms which we imagine would be fantastic if you are looking for a place to relax and stay at the hotel all day. Great place for the kids as there is a pool and small football field for...
Read moreBooked through Love Holidays seeing the pictures provided in the website. But reality was different. The annex is a separate building across the road with very basic facilities. The concept of customer service appears to be unheard to Roolla who runs the place. She did not even have the patience or courtesy to sort out the AC remotes on the first night and asked us to take a shower and sleep and someone will sort it out in the morning! It's not like we have not paid for the night! Any concerns taken to them is dealt with same level of disrespect regardless of us trying to be very polite. Tried contacting Loveholidays and they were not interested in resolving either. Will not be using this hotel or Loveholidays ever again. You may use at your own risk. If all goes well you may get a room in the main building and never have to approach the management for anything you may be OK and can enjoy the rest of the holiday. But if you end up having to raise any concerns be prepared to be shouted at...
