A Greek dream! Santorini is beautiful and the accommodation is far away from any tourist hustle and bustle. Immediately after my booking for 5 nights, Irene wrote to me and sent me all the important information about the area. I should definitely pack sunglasses because the Greek sun is strong and a jacket because it is quite cool in the evening. I should also bring an empty stomach, because the Greek cuisine is excellent 😊 Very friendly and professional! Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to meet her in person. The evening before my arrival, I was contacted by Kimon via Whatsapp, who asked for my arrival time and confirmed my airport transfer. The transfer cost 35 EUR and was on time. When I arrived at the accommodation, Kimon welcomed me personally. He is responsible for looking after the guests and has several accommodations scattered around the island that he has to manage. Since the hotel has no reception, Kimon showed me everything in and around the room and also sent me Whatsapp messages with tips for excursions and restaurant recommendations every now and then. Very helpful! As I don't have a driving licence, I can't say anything about rental cars etc. On the first day, Kimon organised a private driver to Oia. The journey cost 40 EUR each way. When I got the driver's business card, I booked my trips myself from then on with Advantage Transfers. The prices on Santorini are generally rather high, which is why the taxi costs were not surprising for me. The room was beautiful, clean and cave style, just how I wanted to experience it. The whole accommodation is very well maintained and in typical Greek style. The lady who served breakfast was shy (probably because she doesn't speak English well) but very friendly and she was also in charge of cleaning the room. After moving into my room, I found that the safe did not work. The breakfast cleaning lady gave me new batteries, but even with these, there was always "error" on the display. Kimon then tried his luck with all the master keys, but the safe wouldn't work. He then took the safe with him and later wrote to me via Whatsapp that due to the circumstances (there was no spare safe for me, but the accommodation is safe) my breakfast would be complimentary during my stay. I hadn't asked for this and was all the more pleasantly surprised! Great service!!! 👏 My flight wasn't until 7.30pm on departure time so I asked for a late check-out, which I would have paid for. Kimon wanted to clarify this and then confirmed 2 days before departure that I could have the room free of charge until 5pm. That wow effect again 😊 All in all a great place to stay with exceptionally friendly staff and again a big shout out to Kimon who does a great job!!!!

Great hospitality and experience ! Everything was extremely well managed . The rooms offered a great traditional modern Cycladic design , and the jacuzzi was a smart choice at the top of each room . Once again , lovely experience !

Cydonia caves is a true gem! Our stay was wonderful, the room was beautiful with all the amenities we needed and a very very comfortable bed! The private terrace and hot tub we had overlooked a truly once in a lifetime view which I will never forget. The village it is located in, Megalochori, is not only stunning, but much more authentic, charismatic and peaceful than the larger touristic hotspots which allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay much more. Finally, the service was exceptional, a true highlight was waking up delighted to find a delicious Greek breakfast served on the terrace, no better way to wake up. I cannot recommend Cydonia Caves enough, I most definitely...
