Mesanto Luxury Suites — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

We had a short stay at Mesanto earlier this week. The reception at Artemis Suites near the caldera edge is not too far by car or walk, but if you have baggage and no car then it can be a difficult walk. We felt very welcome by the reception at Artemis Suites with a drink and really useful information with map about local area and the activities to do. The suite itself is clean and tastefully decorated and has pretty much all things provided that includes tea/coffee maker, iron and board, safe box, air con etc. The swing chair in the room was very nice addition. There were couple of things that could be been better. First the advert on their website says "outdoor hot tub", however it wasn't hot and it there were no controls to change water temperature. So it can be only used in the afternoon when the water is warm enough but not at other times when water is colder. Secondly the small round mirror near the basin does not have vertical tilt. So if you are short i.e. less than 6 feet then you can't see your face in the mirror. The the building itself was very nice however the immediately surrounding area was a bit uninteresting with constructions going on. Hello from Genoveva, 🇩🇪: I have found this Hotel through their website. I have to say, l stayed there from 16.08 - 21.08.24 and l had an amazing experience. The Room very nice and with everything, Jacuzzi it was amazing, very clean and non stop in our function. The Room Service was every day: - cleaning the Room, the Bed, the Towel - was changed every day. The Reception always kind and very responsible, every time reached through WhatsApp and Email too. The Village Megalochori very beautiful, interesting, amazing Sunset points of view, the Restaurants very near with the Hotel; at the Center of Village, very silence and quiet Suite . I am sure, that l will be back again and of course l will recommend this Hotel to all my Friends.

I had a reservation here for one night and was looking forward to staying here, as the village of Megalochori is wonderful and the property looks great. I was taking the sea jet from Crete. Due to very high waves and forceful winds, the boat turned back after 10 minutes out at sea. The next boat was not scheduled until the next day. So while I missed my opportunity to stay here, I do hope I can do it again. The owner was very considerate and understanding about this cancellatio, due to forces beyond our control.
