Amazing experience - the owners ensured we had an incredible stay.
Please allow me to summarise the reasons why we liked it so much: this is a family run business where the owners are very present in the hotel - they are so warm and friendly and really seem to care about your stay there and your experience in Santorini. they arranged for a transfer from the airport to their hotel for 25 euros - this turned out to be reasonable since the price offered by the hotel we later stayed in was 40 euros. we were greeted as soon as we got out of the taxi - Coskun the owner collected our bags from the taxi and made us feel very welcome straight away. check in was very smooth and we were offered water with fruit included in it which tasted delicious as well as coffee. The owners think of every detail like this which we noticed. we were immediately provided a map of Santorini which Coskun annotated in front of us with all his recommendations, vegan and otherwise - this was a great addition and showed they really know the island + they cared about our time in not just the hotel but Santorini generally. We have this annotated map until today. -they arrange for us to have a boat cruise around Santorini on one of the days during our stay. The price for the cruise was expensive and the hotel probably received a small commission but we didn't care after we had done the cruise as it was definitely worth it and everything that Coskun and Artemis told us about the cruise was true. there was one issue with the room on our arrival which was that an item from the previous guests was left behind in the wardrobe and not spotted by the cleaner - however when we told Coskun he rectified the issued by offering us some free laundry (normally costing 20 euros) - the laundry was returned the next day perfectly folded in a basket. This made our day and easily made up for the previous error and showed the owners really cared about us. breakfast brought to our room every morning personally delivered by Coskun and made by Artemis - Artemis is an incredible chef. Artemis (the lady owner, Coskun's wife) provided further recommendations to us on the map - Artemis is vegan and she knows everything there is to know about vegan food on the island and where to eat. friendly and nice housekeeper on sight we received the mobile numbers of the owners and they said we could call them anytime of day if we had an issue and they would come to help us. This was put to the test when I had an issue with the other hotel we stayed out during our stay at Santorini - we were left stranded by that hotel on our last day with all our luggage and when I called Coskun to help he picked up immediately and resolved our issue - the owners really care about their guests even when they have moved on to another hotel! the owners clearly have experience in the hotel/service industry as they think of every detail and their client care is phenomenal - one day I came back to the room to find towels folded into swans on the bed, and rose petals were place on the bed everyday for us.
i only have a couple of small points for improvement (and I'm being very picky with these): the safe in the room is key controlled (when batteries are used it makes a beeping noise in the night) and the key is a little stiff sometimes but Coskun told us that he is replacing all the safes in the rooms so this will now be resolved for future guests, so not something to be concerned about if you are thinking of booking. because of the central location of the hotel (which is a massive plus) it can be a little noisy at night but this is easily rectified by closing all the windows and putting the air con on instead (there is also a fan). if you are noise sensitive consider asking for a room furthest away from the road.
Otherwise I could not recommend Ethos Vegan Suites enough - we really want to go back one day as we had such wonderful stay. We felt welcomed and valued as guests at every point of our stay and overall we felt that the stay was worth the price we paid...
Read moreEthos Vegan Suites is an absolute masterpiece! My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and it felt like a true piece of heaven. From the moment we arrived, Coskun & Artemis made us feel so warmly welcomed, safe, and relaxed! Coskun greeted us, helped us park our car, and carried our bags inside for us. When we stepped in, it felt like we entered a serene and luxurious oasis. It is beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and unbelievably relaxing. Despite the tranquility of the accommodations, Ethos is located right in the heart of FIra, just steps away from the urban square, countless restaurants and shops, and the stunning views of the caldera. The highlight of the hotel are the unbelievably delicious, large-portioned breakfasts that are delivered straight to your room at any time of your choosing. The food without a doubt the best we had during our time in Greece. Most of all, Coskun & Artermis are among the most friendly and caring people you will ever meet. They are truly bound to ideals of sustainability as well as numerous benefits of a vegan-forward lifestyle (health, environmental, and ethical) while also being completely embracing to all viewpoints. They go out of their way to be available for any need that might arise. Coskun even offered to come find us or pick us up anywhere on the island if we were ever stuck or had issues getting home. Most notably, when we were about to leave for a day, Coskun walked us to our car when we noticed a kitten was hiding underneath and then jumped up into the car. Coskun spent the next 30 mins rescuing not one, but two kittens, hiding scared in our car and brought them out safely. We feel so fortunate to have been able to spend our time in Sanotirini at Ethos and are counting down the days until...

The bed & breakfast is owned and run by a couple who are incredibly kind, thoroughly helpful, and genuinely seem to care about their guest's. They both had careers in the hospitality industry and it shows. One of the owners sat us down first day and gave us a map of all the must-visit vegan spots, where the tourist traps are, what tourists usually miss, etc. It was a great head-start to the island. The other owner has gone so far as to offer [twice] to pick us up where-ever if we get lost or stranded, just to text him. Just beyond good hosts.
All breakfasts are unique, made by one of the owners on-site, all vegan, and all absolutely delicious. This isn't a pre-made salad or a fruit plate, it's genuinely fantastic, home-made food. Probably some of the best vegan food we had on the island.
The rooms are all new, clean and quiet. And we're picky guests, we'll check mattresses, etc. to make sure the place is bug-free.
You're able to come and go as you please, they're in the dead-centre of Fira so you're a 5-minute walk to anywhere, and one of the owners offers tours if you're into that. We asked for a winery tour and the next day it was booked. They drove us around, told us about the island, and all the pairings at the wineries were confirmed vegan. Many of these offer cheese as the default.
And surprisingly everything in the mini-fridge is priced reasonably. Beers in the fridge were going for the same price as they do in the bottle shops.
I genuinely can't think of a better hotel experience I've ever had. When we're back in Santorini this will be the only place we book, there isn't a...
