Panoramic View Fira — Attraction in Municipality of Thira

The panoramic view from Fira is simply stunning! 😍 If you’re in Santorini, this is the place to be. The view over the caldera is breathtaking, especially at sunset. You can see the white-washed buildings cascading down the cliffs, the deep blue of the Aegean Sea, and the volcanic islands in the distance. It’s a perfect spot for taking photos or just soaking in the beauty. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby where you can sit and enjoy the view with a drink. This is a great place to get beautiful photos down the harbor and overlooking the beautiful buildings on the hill. It gets a bit busy foot-traffic wise but you can still snag beautiful pics. You will also likely encounter donkey poop.

I read another review saying you should go at 6:30pm to see the donkeys finish their work or at 8:30am to see them start their day. I'd totally return but I think one visit to the area is enough considering parking is challenging nearby and there's SO much pedestrian traffic, especially when cruise ships are in port, which seems to be...

Just a few steps away from the upper cable car station you'll find this spot. It offers wonderful views of the ocean, the southern end of Santorini and the Island of Nea Kameni.

Surprisingly it's not a too busy spot. Ok, there was only our cruise ship and a second, very small one there this day. So on a busy cruise day it might be different.

The viewpoint is actually just a walking lane, so visitors will pass by all the time. To really pose for a pic is a bit difficult, but for a selfie or two...
