Very impressed with this hotel! Reading some of the reviews I didn’t know what to expect as they were hit and miss but I was very impressed with everything within the hotel. On arrival you are given a map and told everything we needed to know about accessing the island which we were thankful for. The rooms are very clean and well presented, clean bedding and towels daily. We could actually see the sea from our room in the distance which was lovely! You do hear planes departing being so close the airport but we didn’t mind that. |The breakfast has so much variety, Toast, hams, cheese, fruit, yogurt, eggs- scrambled and boiled, brioche cake, cereals, lots of jams, honey, butter, chocolate spread, water, coffee, tea, juice… we got there when it opens at 0800 as we are early risers and like to make use of our holiday and there wasn’t many others about, we had walked past at 0900/0930 and it is much busier! |The pool is clean, most times we spent in the pool (from around 1400) not many others were in it, always sun beds available as well. Little jet tub in the corner of the pool which was very relaxing and popular. |The hotel is about a 5 min walk from the bus stop which is very easy to use and about a 7 min walk to the closest supermarket. The staff are very helpful and are honest on the best places around. Gave us tips on the cheapest supermarket and the best food in kamari! The beach is close by around a 15 min walk with a variety of restaurants. |We stayed for 7 nights and got free transport from the hotel, just messaged them and they were there to pick us up and then made them aware the day before we were flying back to book for transfer back to the airport. The gentleman who took us back was very chatty and was giving us history of the island which we loved! |If you needed anything you could just ask the girls on the front desk or if no one was there they were are the bar area. I did notice the hotel advertised a hair dryer would be in the room, therefore I didn’t bring mine and when we arrived there wasn’t one within the room. I just asked and they had them at the front desk, just asked you to return when you checked out :) the same with the towels, they ask you don’t use the white towels at the pool area but didn’t provide us with and additional towels, we did realise people had green towels around the pool so asked the girls again and they provided us with towels for the pool. |100% would come back to this hotel and will...
Read moreThe good: The pool is good. Staff was friendly and helped us with information and helped us print our boarding passes. For 7 days stay, the transport from the airport was free. Going back to the airport it was 20€ /3 people and 5€/person after. Position is good, not much noise, close to a bus stop and close to the Kamari Beach. Towels where changed every time the cleaning crew came.
The bad: Disliked · Rooms that we stayed in did not look like the pictures. Those pictures seem to be from newly renovated rooms. But from 3 rooms in my group, all where not like the booking pictures. Breakfast was highly dissapointing, 0 variety, every morning it was exactly the same. Beyond it being the same it was very basic. You would expect at least some fruit, or local cheese, but nothing of the sort was served. The menu was 2 types of bread, 2 types of ham, 1 generic cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, omlette, some small sausages, greek yougurt, 3 types of cereal, milk, 2 jams and butter. You will see this every day. Walls are paper thin, with noisy neighbours it is not pleasant at all. Doors are old and hard to close, adding to the general noise. Cleaning staff comes around in a highly chaotic fashion, you would expect that all rooms are cleand by 14:00, but sometimes they start cleaning at 19:00, or don't get around at all. Cleaning staff doesn't always leave enough amenities, or any at all. We were told we could only pay cash, which is not true, the hotel has a POS and guest can pay with a card. In one of our rooms, the refridgerator was broken. There is a 1.5€ /day residenxe tax, that is not included in the booking estimate, for us it ammounted to 10.5€. Although not a fault of the hotel, they aranged our transport to the airport with Santorini Luxury Travel, we discussed 30€ and when we arrived st the airport the driver tried to scam us...
Read moreI really enjoyed my time here. It is a medium sized, family run hotel, with lovely staff and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was included with my stay and offered coffee, tea, juice, and a range of cereals, cold meats, salad, eggs, apples and fresh bread for toast. Bar prices are reasonable and the staff were very helpful in advising me what I should do and see while I was there and giving me restaurant recommendations. I was picked up and dropped off at the airport (10 mins away) for free as part of my stay (they will do this if you stay 4+ nights). The hotel itself is off the main road while still walking distance to black sand beach (15 mins). Also a flat walking distance to supermarkets, ATM and restaurants. The pool was private and immaculate. My room was clean, bright and spacious and I had a [ground floor] garden and mountain view, which was delightful. I did find the hallways to be a little noisy, with the sound of people checking in and leaving a minor disturbance. And the lace curtains on the windows didn't block out any light, but this is nothing that ear plugs and an eye mask can't fix. I will definitely...
