We stayed three nights at Ira (it should’ve been four but our ferry was cancelled and we missed one!) and I’m so pleased that we chose it. We had considered staying up in Fera but now are sure we made the right choice. ||Location – very good indeed. ||It is a 10 minute walk to the beach and there are absolutely loads of bars, restaurants, shops, bakeries etc within easy walking distance of the apartments. Lots of the restaurants allow you to use their sun loungers and umbrellas free if you just buy food and drinks there.|| It is also very close to a couple of bus stops that get you into Fira. You have to go there if you want to go anywhere else by bus as it is a hub for the island.||Rooms – absolutely lovely.|| Our apartment had three different sun terraces meaning we could get shade or sun whenever we liked. They were just so comfortable and well maintained. It had a really good kitchen with everything you could need and a very cold fridge. The air conditioning was fantastic and the bedroom very comfortable indeed.||There was a nice living area with table and chairs to dine at and a sofa bed as well.||Pool – a really strong point for the hotel.|| It was absolutely lovely and great to relax at late in the afternoon. There were lots of sun loungers and umbrellas and never any problem getting two together. There was none of the selfish reservation going on either.||Wi-Fi – occasionally flaky but generally very good indeed. Free for unlimited devices, you only needed to login once and it reached over 20 Mb which was excellent.||Staff – Georgia was very efficient and very helpful indeed. Everyone we met at the property had a big smile and were very...
Read moreWe stayed here in July for 5 nights. The hotel is a 10/15 min walk to the beach and the main strip in Kamari and it’s about 5 mins to the outdoor cinema.||I was there with my two sons (12 and 17) and we used to walk back between midnight and 2am most nights (the karaoke bar on the strip is so much fun) and we always felt safe.||The rooms are typical Greek style. Quite simple but spacious with aircon and a good hot shower and the beds are comfy.||The pool area is really nice and was very relaxed when we were there. You can buy drinks and snacks from the pool bar, I’d just suggest picking up your breakfast the night before from one of the supermarkets that are open until about 2am near the beach.||The owner is really helpful. I WhatsApp’d him before we arrived as we needed to go straight to the Irish bar to watch a football game and he dropped us off as soon as we’d checked in. He can also arrange a taxi to and from the airport. You can get a bus but you have to change buses and then walk 15 mins with suitcases, so I’d recommend pay...
Read moreWe stayed at Ira apartments for two nights before our flight home. We were welcomed by Georgia who I have to say is a fantastic hostess. She was really accommodating and friendly and has a great sense of humour :) The location was perfect for us as its a short walk to the beach and many restaurants and little boutique shops. Very cute. There is also a tasty little bakery (can't remember the name) about a 5 minute walk from Ira and much cheaper than places on route to the beach front. It's on route to the nearest bus stop to Fira which is the main bus station if you want to travel to other places i.e. Oia, airport, etc. ||||Ira has a great swimming pool and sun loungers and they were always available. The rooms were cleaned daily by a lovely lady and everything was spotless. You can't help but relax here. A bonus is that the airport is a 10 minute drive so a great place to visit before you depart home. We would definitely recommend.||||Thank you all for a...
