This place and the owner are absolutely amazing!! I just went looking for something sweet late-night (it’s open until 3 or 4am!) and next thing I know I left having had 7 different delicacies 🤭 The super warm and generous owner baring the name of none other than DIONYSUS was like a character from the movie that would be created if 300 and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants made a baby. I asked for a local dessert and he gifted me a golden milk pie slice from the freshly baked tray that was glimmering in the display: “You’ve just got to try it!” Then I got a scoop of ice cream on top, and some chamomile tea to simmer down. Next I know I’m watching the Greek men next to me eat voluptuous crepes and ordering one to go for the airport tomorrow… and a smoothie for the morning! Then to continuously one-up me, DIONYSUS gifts me a baklava on top!! And he also offered the tea. Such a gem! Beyond the supreme graciousness, this place has a very rich, warm atmosphere that feels like home away from home immediately. The food is mouth-watering, with a varied menu from sweet to savory, and partly you know you gotta trust it because it’s where all the locals gnom late-night. Truly a gift of the (Greek) Gods...

As coffee snobs, we were in search of arabica coffee, and we found it! This place has great coffee.
Then we realized their smoothies and entrees look decent too. The owner recommended a secret menu item, a pistachio knafeh crepe- YUM! We ordered the truffle burger (with crispy garlic fried potatoes), then enjoyed the crepe, then sampled the rose laukou gelato. The food here is marvelous. This is a must-experience restaurant here in Kalmari!
Best of all, they are open late. We are planning to revisit for a midnight snack. We were planning to try a bakery down the street, but this is way better. We are coming back.
The ice mule is located in this centere of shops. It's a downtown location with shopping. It's easy to walk to or easy to park near. There are no steps. Wheelchair access is tricky in Santorini, but this is an easier...
Read more3€ per scoop is the cheapest ice we found so far, and the scoops were huge and genuinely delicious, so no complaint here.
We found the place online, but actually first walked past it, as it is tucked in a little from the street and the single sign with the name is not visible as you pass by, but only if you stop and turn towards it. I bet more people would notice it if it was advertised a little better. There is also other food, say lunch or dinner available. We did not try any of that but heard people next to us rave about the burgers...
