10/10 - Absolutely fantastic. I booked a room for a 7 day holiday and had the best experience. Travelling solo, I arrived quite late at night for check-in but was welcomed very warmly, with recommendations in case I was still hungry or needed something from the shops. The rooms are lovely, traditional and warm. The mattress is super comfortable, and wifi worked well for my occasional meetings. I got a balcony (which I didn’t expect) with ocean view, the pool is beautiful and very clean. Everyday the rooms get properly cleaned, fresh towels provided, there’s nothing but fantastic service. The hotel is family-owned and it has been absolutely lovely to get to know the sweet and caring owners. There’s plenty of tips for activities or any other topic and no wish unfulfilled! Fira is just a 10-15min walk, I like to grab a coffee at nearby Coffee Shop Vales on foot and then walk further through the main shopping streets of Fira. There’s also many free car park options for scooters and cars right in the front of the hotel. I highly recommend this place if you want to be close enough to walk to Fira, shops and restaurants but also enjoy a less touristy area and value more traditional rooms and relationships. I will definitely be back. Fantastic value...
Read moreDespina provided us with a very warm welcome and a helping hand throughout! The rooms are simple but comfortable, and have a lovely balcony to sit out on. The bathroom had a very low ceiling and the shower was designed in a way that was prone to flood the bathroom whenever you used it. We spent so little time in the room, it was fine for us! The pool was the highlight of the property. Unfortunately the pool bar was closed during our visit, however there was a fridge in the reception area which you could help yourself to. The location is great, if you don't mind walking. It's only about 15 minutes into Fira and much quieter (and cheaper) for it. There's an endless choice of restaurants in Fira, but if you want something nearby, we loved Katerina's! There's also a great bakery just up the road, and if you take a left at the fork, you'll find ATV hire for 40 euros a day. Also highly recommend Santo Wines, but you do need to book in advance for sunset. We did a lunch time wine tasting and the views were stunning. Despina recommended a transfer company for us to use throughout our stay and they are reachable via WhatsApp. However, we highly recommend ATVs which work out a lot cheaper for...
Read moreI chose this hotel based on location. It is very close to the bus stop for the KTel bus to/from the port. It is a 20 minute walk into Fira.||||Before our arrival, the hotel promptly answered my questions through email. We arrived too early for check-in so the hotel stored our bags. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The AC worked well. The fridge worked, but the freezer did not freeze our water overnight. ||||The hotel staff was very friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. There was plenty of parking at the hotel. There is a laundromat within walking distance that charges 15 Euro! per load.||||We had a nice sized porch to sit on for eating or relaxing. We had our own food so we chose not to pay extra for the hotel breakfast. ||||Here are my complaints: The WiFi was very SLOW. The bathroom smelled very musty. It could use a cleaning with bleach to get rid of the smell. The hotel was nice to lend us beach/pool towels but you only get one per person per stay. If you stay a long time and need new towels, you have to pay for them.||||However, if I came back to Santorini, I would choose this hotel again. The price was right for the location and...
