Lilium Homes Santorini — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

This is a mixed bag review as the staff(especially Vallia, the hotel manager and the housekeeping ladies) were very welcoming and friendly, the villa perfectly met our needs & was in great condition but there were slips in the standard of service that didn't meet expectations.

Firstly, we were offered a private transfer from the airport. I've had many of these on previous holidays & private means for and your travel party, so imagine our surprise to have to share a small SVU with two other hotel guests & each of us charged €25 - so €50 for a 10 min drive!

The Vallia gave us a tour of our 2-bed villa & made a point of telling us that we would receive a bottle of water, coffee capsules, hot tub cleaning & bins emptied everyday, there's even a welcome letter that says this, but these things did not happen daily. We arrived on Friday evening our bins were not emptied until Sunday because I asked & then they forgot to do the kitchen bin, so that wasn't emptied until Monday. At times i had to ask for coffee capsules and a change of pool towels.

We were never given another bottle of water after our arrival on Friday! I asked both housekeeping & Vallia & asked for water on Sunday & Monday - we never got another bottle during our 7-day stay(even though I saw them give another group of hotel guests more bottles of wine whenever they asked(you get 1 bottle on arrival), I'm not bothered that we didn't get more wine but if you say you provide water daily, do so. Staff are nice but they really need to up their game before the peak.

All that being said, Vallia was always on hand to help us, from ordering food, arranging the best catamaran cruise (hugely recommend this, it was our favourite day of our week long stay) and works incredibly long hrs, and the things I've mentioned above didn't ruin our holiday, but they are simple things that can be addressed to make the experience better. Either don't offer these things e.g. daily water, daily cleaning or if you do, make sure they happen.

Location wise, Lilium Homes worked well for us, walkable distance to the bus station in fira, supermarket and some great food options within a 5-10 min walking distance (highly recommend at least you having one evening meal at traditonal Greek restaurant Katerina's - amazing food, great staff and value for...

I traveled to Santorini last week and stayed at Lilium Homes. IT WAS SO AMAZING!! Right from arriving at the port I was taken care of in every way.

From my driver Pierre to Vallia who helped manage my stay everyone was so kind. They went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of with true hospitality!

Pierre was one of the best drivers I’ve ever had. He was so personable and kind, gave me tips for my trip, and helpful information to help during my stay. Having a private driver just for this specific hotel is a HUGE convenience, it makes going places fast and easy.

Vallia made sure every aspect of my stay was so special. She also was so kind to pick me up late at night so I could enjoy the sunset in Oía. It was nice having employees that are personable and really care about their job and how they treat people. It makes the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. Everyone made my trip so much easier and I couldn’t have asked to be in better hands.

*Location is great, it is about 10 minute walk to downtown Fira, close to everything! About a 30 minute car ride to Oía. Both Fira and Oía have stunning views for the famous sunset! The pickup from the seaport to the villas are around 20 minutes and the airport around 15 minutes.

*The villas are quite large, almost like a private penthouse and very clean! Plenty of toiletries are provided so you don’t have to worry about running out of anything. If you are booking a group trip or special event you have so much room for everyone.

*Huge heated private pool is a big plus, I loved just relaxing in the pool after a hot day. There is also a private jacuzzi off the main bedroom which was a fun surprise! They also have a large pool with lounges if you want a larger pool to swim.

There aren’t enough words about how amazing the staff and property were- a bucket list trip dream come true!

Throughout our stay, George was always available, ready to assist with a smile and an eagerness to make our wedding week beyond perfect. His knowledge of the local area and his passion for sharing it with us added an extra layer of magic to our time in Santorini. We felt like we were truly experiencing the best the island had to offer, thanks to George's guidance and recommendations.

In summary, our stay was an absolute paradise, thanks to the stunning property and the exceptional hospitality of George. If I could rate our experience, I would give it 100/10.
