KING THIRAS HOTEL — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Great location, amazing hospitality, breakfast included, fantastic value The owner of this family run hotel was very approachable, accommodating, ready to answer questions and always ready to help if necessary. My ride to and from the port was arranged by the hotel owner (EUR 30 one way). The driver, Niko, was also quite the asset to the establishment - very pleasant and a wealth of information about Santorini. The hotel itself is about a 2 or 3 minute walk from the edge of the caldera yet it provides a respite from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of Fira. Very easy access to the walking path to head into the centre of Fira or towards Imerovigli. The room was quite spacious for one. The bathroom was big enough to get the job done. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was access to a small balcony which overlooked the cathedral of Fira. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the entire hotel - lobby, hallways, room. The breakfast was ample and served at a convenient time in the morning, whether you wanted an early start or you wanted to sleep in a bit. All staff were friendly and courteous, eager to provide the best service possible. There is a parking lot almost next door that can be used in case you rent a car. Overall a very affordable, pleasant stay at a convenient location. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel and would stay there...

King Thiras Hotel! Excellent price! Brilliant location! Lovely management and staff * |We’ve just returned from a weeks stay at the King Thiras Hotel Santorini. This family run hotel was central for the city centre, where there are lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and travel agents for boat excursions etc. Hotel itself was spotlessly clean, and served us well for our weeks stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast! The owner Emmanuel can speak several languages fluently and was always very friendly and helpful, as was his staff. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, and will definitely stay here again in the future. |We hired a car from Thrifty at the airport, cheaper to hire from airport as car rental in town a bit more expensive. A taxi to and from airport is around €30 to €40 each way, hiring a car also let us visit the whole of Santorini at our leisure, there is a bus service but don’t know personally how good this was as we didn’t use it. |Highly recommend King Thiras...
