My recent experience at this restaurant in the picturesque town of Santorini was a regrettable one star, to say the least. A vibrant island renowned for its stunning views, Santorini is just as famous for its unique culinary delights. Sadly, this restaurant fell dramatically short in delivering on that promise.
Our order for the evening was steaks, anticipating the joy of well-marinated, succulent meat melting in our mouths. What we were served instead was a far cry from our expectations. The steak was not just underwhelming, but hands down the worst I've ever tasted. The quality of the meat was questionable, it was overcooked to a rubbery texture, devoid of the juiciness one would expect from a quality steak. Moreover, the lack of seasoning made the dish bland and unappetizing, leaving a bad taste, quite literally.
Upon bringing our concerns to the management, we were met with a disappointing lack of customer service. In an era where global communication is a norm, the staff's sudden inability to converse in English when faced with complaints was not just unprofessional but downright disheartening. The apparent language barrier felt more like a convenient excuse than a genuine problem. As international tourists, we felt unfairly treated.
A meal at a restaurant isn't just about the food; it's about the overall experience. From the quality of what's on the plate to the service provided by the staff, every detail contributes to the final impression. Unfortunately, this establishment left much to be desired on all fronts.
In the end, our experience left a sour note on our otherwise enchanting trip to Santorini. For those looking for a quality culinary experience on this beautiful island, I would recommend exploring other options. This particular restaurant was, sadly, a...
Read moreAVOID this restaurant at all costs if you don't want to see animals being abused during your meal & appreciate a vaguely tolerable level of service. We sat down & as soon as the waiter realised we weren't interested in the fish courses he was trying to push on each & every customer he lost interest in providing an acceptable level of service. When I politely enquired where the toilets were I received a rude, unhelpful response. The same waiter argued with customers sitting on an adjacent table about food ordered in error in a very unprofessional manner, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere in the restaurant. The final straw for me in this horrible place was a different male waiter striking (aka hitting) a young kitten that had been hanging around my table, causing no trouble at all. I confronted the waiter about how I had just witnessed him abuse an innocent animal & made it clear this was entirely unacceptable behaviour, but for some reason this poor excuse for a human being just thought it was funny. This is outright animal abuse & behaviour that could be prosecuted in the UK.
If you love animals, do not visit this restaurant under any circumstances. If they treat animals this way in front of paying customers just think about what they do behind closed doors. AVOID....
Read moreThe food was good, however we had a negative experience when it came to hospitality. They have outdoor seating with three rows of tables, one row being closest to the edge with the best view of the sea and the sunset, we sat down at the third row farthest from the edge as there were no tables available at the edge, we had ordered and had our drinks in hand when a table on the edge cleared up and we asked if it would be OK to move over there to which this older tall thin waiter with very bad teeth said “no” and that “everyone wants the first row”. We said it’s OK because we thought it may be because they would now have to clean our table and so figured it’s too much extra work. Later on I saw he allowed two other parties to change tables after they had already been seated which contradicts what he told us. Of note we are a couple of Indian ethnicity and the two other parties he allowed to move were Caucasian. Not sure whether this had anything to do with it but I sure as hell couldn’t find any other reason. So beware if your non Caucasian you may not receive the same...
