Outstanding view, but that is my only positive feedback. The room was far too small for a double and looked nothing like the advertised pictures. There was insufficient room to open suitcases, the electric points were faulty, the shower required considerable updating and the smell from the bathroom drain was dreadful. I note other reviews of the service is predominantly positive. That was not our experience. The hotel manager, Pavlos, initially welcomes you in friendly way. He is engaging and promotes the features of the island in a humorous way as he highlights “places to see and things to do” on a map that he provides. He also recommends the companies to use for tours. Undoubtedly he has a deal with them. However, the moment you raise an issue, he becomes dismissive and rude. He even goes as far as telling you ‘’there is the door if you don’t like it”. That is after he has your credit card! I was disgusted that the hotel imposed an additional night’s charge for “soiled linen” against my credit card with no contact beforehand. I asked the hotel for evidence, and after three requests, the hotel manager sent pictures of a bed from a different room. The hotel ignored subsequent contact attempts to challenge the additional charge. There is total disregards for customer service and hospitality, knowing that the hands of overseas visitors are tied. Read moreThis review is more based on their ethics as it deserves ZERO STAR RATING. In early February 2020 I booked this hotel for a trip scheduled for July 2020. Unfortunately for everyone worldwide the dreaded COVID hit and the travel industry came to a complete halt. This was the only accommodation out of approximately 6 venues I had booked on my European trip that refused to refund. They took the payment immediately at the time of booking and fiercely refused to refund due to their ‘no refund cancellation policy’. After several complaints to Booking.com (the platform that I booked through) they were unsuccessful too in trying to find a resolution for my refund. The person responding to my enquirers from the hotel (who I will not name) was SO RUDE!! I was absolutely shocked at the way they responded to my request for a refund.
I honestly think the hotel acted unethically, especially when COVID hit. Everyone was suffering, not just this hotel! I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Firostefani area just based on their lack of business acumen and sheer ignorance.
For anyone considering booking this accommodation please make sure you read their cancellation policy because if a world epidemic can’t get you a refund, then I’m not sure you’ll ever have any luck!

Read moreFirst beginning with the positive, the breakfast was good and definitely a nice addition. The main highlight, however, is the views from the rooms and especially from the hotel terrace where you can go and have breakfast or just sit to watch the sunset. In this hotel you are really paying for the location and the views of the caldera. I would even argue that this specific hotel potentially has one of the best views in the whole island.||||However, the bathroom was way too small, including the shower which has a poor design which caused water to spill everywhere and the shower curtain is sticking on you due to lack of space (quite nasty). There are no electricity plugs in the bathroom, so if you want to use a blow dryer in front of the bathroom mirror, not the hotel room for you. Finally, we were charged tax at the end despite having already paid it through Booking.com according to booking confirmation.||||Overall the hotel staff was very friendly and hence it was a mixed experience. If the bathroom was bigger and the shower was bigger and better designed this hotel would be improved...
