ASOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS TERRORIZE BAY
September 2020: our 1st visit to Livadia Beach. A quiet, picturesque bay with restaurants and sunbeds. A destination to return to.
July 2021: our 2nd visit and the difference is immediately noticeable. A beach club has settled in one corner of the bay, which terrorizes the bay with its noise.
It starts around noon. At first you only hear the basses thump relatively softly. Over the course of the afternoon, both the volume and the thump of the basses gradually increase. At some point it gets so loud that it can be heard pretty much all over the bay. I find it unbelievable that the city-council of Livadia has allowed a handful of antisocial entrepreneurs to ruin the atmosphere in the entire bay.

Read moreThe beach itself is alright, but the people with a sunbed monopoly are not. We came and sat down on a sunbed and were prepared to pay for it but they wouldn't accept our money (30 euros is sunbed price) for that service only and told us we had to spend 5 euros each on drinks and snacks or leave. Once we decided to leave the worker called us unpleasant and started bad mouthing us to his boss, the man who probably told him to kick us out for paying only 30 euros instead of getting scammed...
