PAROS ITINERARY 🇬🇷👇🏻 Paros is my favourite Greek island, it has something for everyone great beaches, amazing hiking, romantic restaurants & all the typical Cycladic arctitecture you imagine a Greek island having ✨ I recommend at least 3 nights in Paros, after allowing your first day to arrive & settle in, here is how to spend the next 2 days 👇🏻 DAY ONE: 📌Explore Parikia - wander the cobbled streets & explore the old town, stop for coffee & lunch! Make sure to grab a pastry from Gregory’s - their spinach pastry’s are the best (& vegan!) 📌A short walk from Parikia is Livadia beach, a perfect spot to relax & swim for the afternoon, watch the sunset & enjoy one of the water front restaurants. DAY TWO: 📌Visit Lefkes - this iconic village is lovely to walk around & explore 📌Walk to Naousa - a lot of people drive or get the bus but honestly the walk is so beautiful, through the countryside, admiring local life & sea views the whole way! 📌Explore Naousa - the harbour is one of the most picturesque places on the island, buzzing with restaurants & bars. The iconic pink & white Linardo building is here. 📌Head to Kolymbitheres beach for sunset to end the day. Naousa is very lively in the evenings so if you don’t fancy heading back after the beach go back & enjoy the vibes in Naousa 💃🏼 Is this Greek island on your bucket list?👇🏻🇬🇷 #greece #greekislands #greeksummer #paros #parosisland #parosgreece #greekislandhopping #visitparos #visitgreece #eurosummer #europetrip #visiteurope

Opinions about the beach, often described in reviews and guides as "amazing," seem to have been heavily influenced by the local souma. The beach itself is rather unappealing, with dirty sand and a muddy seabed. On one side, there’s heavy car traffic along the road by the shore, accompanied by noise and exhaust fumes. On the other, frequent ferry traffic generates not just a carbon footprint but a very real and overpowering smell of fuel and exhaust. When the wind blows from the sea, it creates an atmosphere that can make any beachgoer feel quite miserable. Brrrr!

At the middle of the beach, there was a sandy entry with shallow waters and fine sand up to the waist level. However, the waters can get a little choppy especially when ferries entered or left the port area. We found a spot under a tree that provided shade for us. A much sought-after spot; after we left, another family rushed in to grab the spot. For more details, visit 2bearbear today!

ASOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS TERRORIZE BAY

September 2020: our 1st visit to Livadia Beach. A quiet, picturesque bay with restaurants and sunbeds. A destination to return to.

July 2021: our 2nd visit and the difference is immediately noticeable. A beach club has settled in one corner of the bay, which terrorizes the bay with its noise.

It starts around noon. At first you only hear the basses thump relatively softly. Over the course of the afternoon, both the volume and the thump of the basses gradually increase. At some point it gets so loud that it can be heard pretty much all over the bay. I find it unbelievable that the city-council of Livadia has allowed a handful of antisocial entrepreneurs to ruin the atmosphere in the entire bay.

Our 3rd visit? That probably isn't the...

The beach itself is alright, but the people with a sunbed monopoly are not. We came and sat down on a sunbed and were prepared to pay for it but they wouldn't accept our money (30 euros is sunbed price) for that service only and told us we had to spend 5 euros each on drinks and snacks or leave. Once we decided to leave the worker called us unpleasant and started bad mouthing us to his boss, the man who probably told him to kick us out for paying only 30 euros instead of getting scammed...
