Mare Gaia Apartments — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

This review is specifically for apartment #1 on the ground floor at the Mare Gaia Apartments. I stayed there with two of my friends from September 2nd-6th.

Pros: The host Dimi is really lovely and she always answered our questions/concerns immediately via WhatsApp. It ended up storming really bad during the last two days of our trip and she sent us tips for indoor activities and did her best to keep us updated after the electricity and water had gone out in the apartment. The location of the apartments is great. It's a 7-8 minute walk from the ferry port and you're steps away from some great bars, restaurants and shops. Do note that the hill leading up to the apartment is a bit steep so be careful when traveling with luggage.

Cons: The WiFi wasn't working for most of the time we were staying at the apartment and the mobile data coverage was terrible. It made it so we weren't really able to send/receive messages from loved ones unless we were outside of the apartment. It smelled like raw sewage in the kitchen, we think that it was coming from the sink area. The bathroom layout was weird and the sink was super small, making things like washing hands, face, etc very messy You can't use the jacuzzi unless you're staying in the penthouse. I didn't have a problem with this but this should be made clear in the property...

Large and comfortable apartment with two separate rooms, very comfortable and clean to comfortably accommodate a family of four. It is located very close to the center of the island, just minutes to the center, passing through the beautiful streets of Skiathos. Mrs. Dimitra is kind, in charge of the apartment and very helpful in everything. We also met Mrs. Marina who is responsible for the cleanliness of the apartment, I really loved her job and she does it perfectly. Well done for everything..!!! We will be very happy to stay again at Mare Gaia...

Nu recomand pentru familii cu copii. Sunt praguri inalte intre camere foarte periculoase pentru copii mici. Am ales locatia pentru ca in descriere era mentionat clar ca au si scaun de masa pentru copil insa nu ne-a oferit niciun scaun. In plus a fost intrerupta apa pentru o zi in tot...
