Ginfish Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Poor customer service. We were a group of 3, arriving at 6pm at a very quiet bar, for pre-dinner drinks and visit Ginfish regularly on our visits to Skiathos, often in large groups. We asked if we could move another seat to a table for 2, as the tiny stools are not suitable for our age group, offering no back support, only to be told that wasn't possible. We decided against staying and moved on to one of the many other bars, who were happy to accommodate us. I decided to messenger Ginfish to express our disappointment and to be honest, their response made the situation even worse and really just highlighted the fact that customers are an inconvenience. We’re sorry that it seems we disappointed you this year! Every year, we follow these rules regarding the front seats, especially since we replaced the double sofas with single armchairs. We always try to serve as many customers as we can and, of course, to maintain order and uniformity in our space.

Please try to put yourselves in our position when customers move the seating around as they please and in whatever way suits them best!

It doesn’t matter if it was early or if the place was empty—imagine if you arranged the seating however you liked, and then every group after that followed the example that we allowed you to set in our space!

Hands down the best cocktail bar in Skiathos! If you want to... get lost in the crowd you may sit on the ground level. If you feel the need to lay back, chill and listen to the music at a lower volume, you should go upstairs to take a seat at their romantic low lit balcony and enjoy the view drinking some of their awesome tasting signature cocktails. The signature cocktails are awesome. If you don't feel like... rediscovering your taste for cocktails, don't, give their signature cocktails a try, apart from being awesome, you can ask the waitress for a drink exchange if you don't like the cocktail you ordered. Yes, they told us so! They're so kind and confident about their drinks! We tried like 7 of their signature cocktails and liked them all! I also had a standard zombie cocktail and it was execute very well. The personnel, especially the two ladies in charge of the balcony upstairs are a delight! We visited four nights out of seven last week for pre dinner drinks. We were looking for 'classic' cocktails but the menu had the touristy 'fruit and cream' type of stuff. No problem! Ask for any cocktail and it can be made. Over our visits we asked for Margarita, Negroni, Manhattan and, of course, Dry Martinis. All mixed well albeit there is always difficulty in hot places getting them sufficiently cold but we can live with that. The service was excellent and a complimentary small bottle of water and nibbles always appeared within moments of sitting down. One caveat being that there is only one barman and if a large party appears ahead of you there is a wait. However, with the sun setting, the water lapping and non-intrusive (a novelty on Skiathos) music playing as you look across to Bourtzi, it is all very relaxing.
