I had been looking forward to staying at Adrina for a long time—visiting Skopelos every year, it was always on my list. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations, and I ended up leaving after just two days, despite having booked for five.||||It became clear very quickly that this hotel caters overwhelmingly to male guests. As a solo female traveler, I felt consistently overlooked and dismissed by staff. The bias was obvious from the very first moment. During check-in—a guest’s first point of contact—a man arrived with a group of women, and the receptionist abruptly ignored my check-in to attend to him instead, even though I had been there first. That moment set the tone for a stay defined by exclusion.||||Throughout the hotel, male guests were met with noticeably more enthusiasm. Waiters became animated and attentive when a man entered the restaurant, while I was treated with indifference. Throughout the hotel, male guests were met with exaggerated enthusiasm. Waiters became instantly more attentive and energetic in their presence, while I was met with indifference. One moment in particular stood out: I watched as a man handed what appeared to be a generous tip to a waiter—possibly a large sum. The response was almost theatrical—gushing attention and flattery followed, as if the man could do no wrong. It was hard not to conclude that men were being glorified for their perceived spending power, while women—especially those traveling alone—were treated as if they didn’t have the same financial worth or value as guests.||||What made this all the more surprising is that I’ve traveled extensively, including to countries that are traditionally male-oriented in culture, and I’ve never experienced this kind of disregard. This treatment was not only unexpected—it was jarring and deeply disappointing.||||The atmosphere among staff didn’t help. Many appeared tense or uneasy, as if working under pressure. There was little warmth or cohesion. Despite a “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door, housekeeping repeatedly knocked, and the cleaner smoked just outside my window, filling the room with cigarette smoke—despite a no-smoking sign inside.||||To give credit where it’s due: the views are stunning, the amenities are fine, and the food is of high quality (albeit expensive). I also appreciated the hotel’s initiative against food waste. But none of these positives could make up for the sense of being unwelcome and undervalued.||||Adrina may present itself as a luxury destination, but it does not offer the inclusivity or respect one should be able to expect—especially as a solo...

This was our second time staying at Adrina Beach Hotel, and it’s safe to say it won’t be our last—we’re already looking forward to many more visits. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a sanctuary of warmth, beauty, and world-class hospitality.
From the moment we arrived—both times—we were treated not like guests, but like family. On our very first visit, we arrived by taxi boat, and to our surprise, the owner Yanos himself met us at the dock. He didn’t just greet us—he welcomed us with genuine warmth, had us seated at the beachfront restaurant immediately, and insisted we enjoy dinner before even checking in. That gesture set the tone for everything that makes Adrina special.
During this recent stay, the level of service and attention to detail was just as exceptional. The entire crew deserves credit for creating a relaxing and elegant environment—from the front desk to the restaurant staff, housekeeping, and beyond. But we want to give special thanks to Marios, who always went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable, anticipating every need with a smile and heartfelt care.
And of course, Yanos—thank you again for the kind energy you bring to every corner of this hotel. Your presence and leadership are felt everywhere, and it’s no wonder your team reflects that same positive spirit.
The hotel itself is stunning—crystal-clear water, serene beach access, charming architecture nestled into the hillside, and a level of cleanliness and maintenance that shows just how much love goes into keeping this place immaculate.
If you’re considering a trip to Skopelos, look no further. Adrina Beach Hotel is a true gem. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to return to, again and again.

Read moreWe stayed 4 days here and before arrival , I had pretty high excitement about this place looking at the photos of this place. However, sadly the experience here was disappointing. Starting from the positive side, the reception staff was excellent and accommodating and the room was pretty clean, well maintained. The view from the room was amazing and they had private beach which was nice.
However, the big problem we had was with restaurant, the beach restaurant next to the pool. We couldn’t believe the extent of unpleasantness and rudeness from the staffs, especially this lady whom I don’t remember her name. We had diner reservation and were seated pretty far from the main areas. This female waitress took our orders , got the wrong order of drink to start with. Another server brought appetizer which my husband initially thought he brought wrong dish because he said “ tacos” instead of actually name of the salad that had similar name . However, it took her 40 min to come back and clarify , not she didn’t apology but she really had pissy attitude like she is upset because of us or kitchen. We couldn’t believe it. Not just that, it took one hour for the main dish to come out. We cancelled another drink and dish which they never brought and left the restaurant.
This might not be 5 star hotel but the service a the restaurant is worse than 2 star or less. I wonder if the management team is different from the hotel because the hotel had great service.
Another downside was the bed was pretty soft and had lack of support. My husband ended up having back pain, sleeping in this uncomfortable mattress.
Overall, if I think about potential coming back to Skopelos and pick hotel to stay, I would avoid this place because of horrible service at the restaurant and...
