Came back from this hotel a couple of weeks ago. When we booked this hotel with another couple we were only given the choice of a studio room & a one bedroom apartment so we let them have the apartment as it was a special birthday for one of them & we had the studio room which we mentioned to reception & were then told we could upgrade for an extra €400 which we thought was a bit steep so declined. Their room was nice with sea & pool views. What we didn't know was there appear to be only 3 studio rooms tucked around the side of one of the hotel blocks with no sea or pool views. The only natural light was the patio door leading out to a small terrace with a view of a rather tatty inner courtyard coverered with what looked like black rubber tiles which had bird dropping & palm tree debris littering it. Now we get to the room & bar service. Let's start with the hotel pool bar we ordered drinks & a toasted sandwich from the bar. We got our drinks but no sandwich as the barman totally forgot & we were the only customers there. Another time our wives ordered 2 pina colada cocktails which they waited ages for & then he brought them 2 large beers!! He then took those back & they eventually got their cocktails with weren't worth the wait. Another time they ordered a Vodka & a Bacardi with coke but were told there was no ice which is unbelievable for a bar. They asked for chips & some chicken nuggets but were told they didn't have either. Finally we wanted to pay by card but everytime were told the machine was not working, booting up or they'll couldn't get any Internet even though we had no trouble connecting to Internet on any of our mobiles so we always ended up paying by cash & never got any receipts. Now the room maid cleaning service which was inept at best. We were woken up one morning at 08:15 in the morning by what sounded like a police raid but luckily we had the chain on the door otherwise they would have just come in uninvited. We told them it was too early & to please come back a bit later which they didn't. That evening I put put the Do Not Disturb sign out but they still woke us up again the next morning with loud knocking at 08:30 so again told them to come back later & put the Please Make Up Our Room sign out before we went out but again they didn't clean it so by the end of 2 days the bathroom bin was full & the beds weren't made up. We also had to go to reception as we were running out of toilet roll so asked for more & for the room to be cleaned. They did clean the room the next day but it was only when we went to have a shower that we realised they taken all the old towels but let us with no new ones so we had to use beach towels so again had to go to hotel reception to get towels sent to our room. The next night we came back to find they had cleaned the room but had taken all our pillows & left us with only one between us so again another trip to hotel reception. By that time we were beginning to think these things were being done on purpose as surely no one could be that incompetent? The last complaint was that the hotel had a lovely rooftop bar but it wasn't open during the day but supposedly only from 5:30pm onwards which it never did as the guy who manned it was the same one as the pool bar which he had to close first & clear up the pool so it wasn't normally open till after 6:30pm. What a shame as I think it could be a real asset which could do a roaring g trade in food & drinks but is utterly wasted & undeused. My impression is the hotel are skimping on bar staff which is a shame. Overall the hotel is nicely located with a lovely pool & direct step access to the sea. if you get a decent room the hotel isn't too bad but is not well organised or run in our opinion. All these complaints could be easily resolved before they happen. We won't be returning but hope other customers have a...
Read moreLocation and initial appearance is great. Right in the centre of all of the bars and restaurants that serve incredible food. The rooms are a decent size with a balcony that has great pool and sea view. The pool is good too. Bizarrely, there are plenty of sun beds and the pool is never overcrowded. However, the hotel is run down. The bathroom has black mould in the grout and sealant. The taps and shower head are encrusted with limescale and there is black slime hanging from the bath tap. The shower curtain was white at some point but now is brown. The plug in the sink was blocked with dirt and hair. The old hair dryer on the wall was hanging off, suspended by its wiring. Reported this multiple times yet nothing was done. The toilet room door is missing its handle also. The kitchenette area is old and run down. The sink and drainer are rusty, the fridge is rusty, the surfaces were dirty and the cupboard doors are falling off. The key fob slot on the wall that powers the room was also poorly fitted and continued to fall off. When reported, it was merely stuck on with sealant. The main bedroom is outdated, the light switches are cracked and the beds are uncomfortable. If you are going to stay, I strongly suggest purchasing the use of the safe in the bedroom. It appears that if you have anything valuable locked in your room but have simply forgotten to put it in the safe, its fair game. Hotel staff all seem to be pleasant. Particularly the bar staff and the reception staff. However if you have an issue, the manager becomes obnoxious and unwilling to help. You are spoken to abruptly and the waiver you signed on the first day is thrust in your face. Return the sentiment and you're threatened with eviction.
Local area is great. The local watersports immediately next to the hotel...
Read moreDisgusting apartments, save your money people and go somewhere decent, don’t know where to start, disgusting, dirty, dated, drab, never in a million years is this a four star hotel possibly a two, would give rooms a one star. Pity we couldn’t give a minus stars for kitchen and bathroom. Booked with Jet2 who have this advertised as a 3star plus, NEVER, two star at best. We’ve never left a review before, but this was so disappointing felt we had to. Described as a two bedroom apartment, but was a one bedroomed apartment with sleeping facilities in the living room on two couches. These haven’t been updated since 70s or 80s. We’ve only added a few photos, certainly wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back either. Been holidaying in the Greek islands since the 1980s and this is by far the worst place we have ever stayed. Don’t know why it’s even classed as a hotel, all the rooms are self catering, so no restaurant if you did fancy a breakfast out. No park for the children....
