Dismal experience in every way. Be careful of crazy and fraudulent fees. My $80 quote turned into $122/night after taxes, fees, and ludicrous credit card exchange rate. And when you try to ask about them, the manager gives a terrible explanation in Spanish. If you don't speak Spanish, you definitely don't want to stay here. There is a nice young man Julian who can speak fairly well, but NO ONE in any department can assist in English. No one even bothered to tell me about nice things like the warm fruit juice that is available. It's like they are afraid of gringos and don't want to help us. ||||As for the facility itself, it's aging - torn and dirty carpets in the hallway, shower area has dark residue (from not cleaning). And if you are expecting not to be hassled by peddlers out the front door - then don't stay here (see the photo). There are respectable local hotels for a fraction of the price nearby. Very pleasant reception staff and everyone has been very friendly during my two nights stay at this hotel. Rooms are generous size, however varying in their layout. We are traveling with the group and have discovered there are lots of different designs of rooms.||Only thing that is funny is that through the vent in the bathroom, I can hear other guests in their rooms - water running, toilet flushing, or someone’s radio playing.||The area seems quite safe, there is a ATM in the mall nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from.||I still gave this hotel a five because it has been very pleasant.
