DO NOT GO! Stuff got stolen in a very sneaky way!
I stayed with my friend for 2 nights in a private double room. We were a bit careless not to lock our bags, but the place was actually very nice and they were so friendly, so we just had our stuff in our private room without locking our bags.
We already were suspicious when we came home the first night, since at my friend's backpack, there were zippers opened he usually never opens. But we went through our valuables and nothing was missing.
When we left and checked in our new Hostel in Antigua, I checked my baggage and also talked to my friend and from both our backpacks there was stuff stolen. I was missing a power bank and a cable. I know 100% that someone stole the cable, since it is a cable I NEVER use and it is securely placed in a strap in a separate bag within my suitcase. My friend is missing a nail clipping set. Additionally, they stole a micro SD card from a plastic box that was pretty good hidden, but they only took the micro SD, not the SD adapter, so that I only recognized it when I needed the card.
Even though it was mostly worthless or cheap stuff, they stole it in a sneaky way so that we will not realize it right away but just after we leave. Very disappointed! They do not even provide an email address on their website to contact them, just a phone number. But with our poor spanish, there is barely a way to explain them...
