Handicraft Market Compañía of Jesús — Local services in Panajachel

This handcrafted markets has stall after stall of Local and other hand crafts. Which you will find are similar to all the other street stalls along the main street in Pana.

I give this 3 stars for two reasons.

First is pricing you can negotiate a lot on price and plant to do so.

Second while most of the goods appear to be local works, you will find unless you are knowledgeable you end up heading home after your vacation with what you think is a local pieces of handmade product where in fact is was made in Mexico or China.

While exploring the markets we found a bag we loved but it was a little bigger than we would like so my husband asked the shop run by Sergio if they could custom make a bag for me and to our surprise they did!
