WHAT TO EXPECT? - upper floor authentic indian restaurant with extensive vegetarian, vegan and meat curry menu. Nice lighting, pleasant atmosphere, 6-7 tables and a long raised bar-like seating bench with high chairs.

COST / PRICE- See photo for full menu. Main curry meals approx 70-140, sides approx 30-60. Note that a 10% service tip is automatically added to the bill at the end. We had shrimp curry, paneer curry, a beer and a homemade ginger ale for 320Q total. .

POSITIVES- offered a full menu in english for non-spanish speakers, tasty authentic indian curry flavours, food came quite promptly when ordered, great range of choices for both food and drinks, good location on the main street, intimate atmosphere above the noise at street level.

NEGATIVES- Portion size was variable between our meals and could have been a little bigger overall, the paneer curry could have had more paneer in it, service slowed as the restaurant became busier and if service was more attentive we would have stayed for dessert and another drink.

TOP TIPS- Main meals come with white basmati rice bowl included in the cost. Aim to arrive before 7pm to get as seat as it was full as we left at 7:30.

HOW TO GET THERE? - if facing the restaurant from the main street level, go down the side street just to the right of the restaurant, 20m on your left is a sign for Delhi 6 and a staircase to the restaurant.

OVERALL- we're a British tourist couple aged 25-30 travelling around central america. We fancied a curry and the flavours and setting certainly hit the spot. The service could have been a little quicker and the portions a little bigger but overall a pleasant evening and...

I was so excited to finally have a good Indian restaurant at the lake. Unfortunately this place is terrible. My palak paneer had enough salt for 3 dishes, the naan was dry and cooked to a crisp. The ginger orange “juice” is actually ginger soda with a dash of orange and a garnish of ginger to make you think it’s worth 25q. I can’t drink soda due to blood sugar issues. They didn’t list that it was soda rather than ginger juice on the menu & I had to rush out of there to find an pharmacy to make sure I didnt pass out. As I was trying to at least dilute the soda I had drank, I asked for a glass of water only to be told they only have bottled water. I was astounded by the waitresses apathy. So not only are they dishonest about their ingredients, seem to care less about the experience/welfare of their customers, but they are also putting a bunch of plastic into the ecosystem for a few q profit. The only reason this place is in business is that they have zero competition at the lake. The owner was apologetic, but seemed surprised her menu didn’t say the expensive juice drink was actually soda with a little garnish of fresh ginger. It’d be easier to list what they got right: the paneer (cheese) was great, the seasonings that I could perceive over the salt were well done and the basamati rice was ok. Given the high price and low quality, I would say...

It took too much time to have some service to the extend that I had to stand up and approach the main desk to ask for service, the restoration was empty. At the desk it said en several places " WE ACCEPT ALL THE CARDS" " WE ACCEPT VISA " and so on, when the time to pay came, the waiter who was absent for the entire time said "if we accept your card it is only if you pay the tip".

Due to the part when I have to go to the main desk to ask for some service after 20 minutes sitting there alone with this waiters walking around me like i do not exist. I was not willing to leave a tip, the waiter said to me that in the whole town the minimum amount was 100.00QTZ. I live here for many years and allow me to say that ... That is a lie even some small stores take payments of 25.00 Qtz. They forced me to go to the atm to pay cash for my consumption of around 96.00 Qtz the 5 guys in the service where talking loudly in Spanish demanding for the 30% of the tip!!!! So the final amount was 136.00 QTZ WITH THE TIP!!! I said tip is voluntary and that service was not nice at all and they argued at me for like 15 minutes so I went to the atm and payed cash NO TIP!!! and I am So not Eating there any more ever more. And mainly I do not recommend the place because of the extra Súper...

My taste buds have been transported to a whole new world of flavor and delight thanks to the incredible dishes at Delhi 6 in Panajachel, Guatemala. I ordered the paneer tikka masala, chicken biryani, broccoli malai, and croquettes, and each bite was a sensational explosion of spices and aromas that filled my senses with joy. The presentation of each dish was a true work of art, worthy of a high-end fine dining restaurant. It was evident that the chef and his team put a lot of effort and attention to detail into every aspect of their creations. I had the pleasure of chatting with the chef, and it was clear that he was a master of his craft. His vast experience working in other 5-star restaurants in India was reflected in every dish I tasted. I never expected to find such authentic and exquisite Indian food in a small town in Guatemala. It was a pleasant surprise that left my mind blown. Overall, my experience at this Indian restaurant was unforgettable. The food was exceptional, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an extraordinary culinary adventure that will awaken all your senses and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.

I’m still dreaming about the food at Delhi 6 months later! This place is an absolute treasure. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly smiles and impeccable service. The food? Simply extraordinary. The tantalizing aromas alone were enough to make my mouth water, and once the dishes arrived, I couldn't wait to dive in. I forgot to take pictures because we were too busy savoring every bite. My sister is vegan, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure she had a delicious and satisfying meal. Their attention to detail and care for dietary needs was impressive. Every dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the rich and diverse tastes of Indian cuisine. The drinks were the cherry on top—refreshing and perfectly complementing the meal. And let's not forget the view from the balcony; it’s absolutely gorgeous, adding a serene and picturesque backdrop to an already delightful dining experience. I can't recommend Delhi 6 enough. It’s a must-visit for anyone in Panajachel looking for an unforgettable dining experience!
