Saw this spot and had to bring my eight friends here to kick off our day exploring Panajachel. As a vegan, I was expecting a challenge finding good options—but not here! Everything was delicious, and my friends were thrilled to get a proper Canadian Caesar.

The only downside was the service. I get that a table of eight is a lot, and they were fully sat, but it took over 20 minutes for a server to even say hello. I expected a longer wait for food after that, but no one gave us a heads-up, which would’ve been nice. All the servers seemed to be backpackers/foreigners, so I’m not sure why a simple “Hey, it’s gonna be a bit of a wait” wasn’t mentioned. And while we were waiting we kept ordering drinks which were often forgotten about and we had to remind our servers.

That said, the food was SO good, and the smoothies were exactly what we needed after soaking up the sun. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re a...

Awful service, never coming back here and would not recommend. Waited more than an hour for a smoothie and salad (without any meat). Another group of 10 people arrived 20 minutes after us and was served 20 minutes before us. We had to ask where our food was once we saw that the group that arrived after us already got their food and the staff only said it was coming soon without any apology. We waited an additional 15 minutes to be served and the food was fine but nothing to write home about. Definitely not worth the 1+ hour wait. Totally understand the wait if the restaurant is super busy and everyone is waiting the same amount. It's just ridiculous to be served after a large group who arrived after you and wait so long for a simple salad and smoothie (you literally just throw in all the ingredients together, there's no cooking involved). Save yourself the time and go...

The little spoon branding and logo captured my attention the moment I walked past it in the streets of Panajachel. It did not disappoint after the first meal I had there! It is a bright, adorable, perfect cafe that you could spend meeting friends for a cocktail or spend hours working with the delicious smoothies and dishes. I would 1000% reccomend having more than one meal there in your time in Panajachel. The owners are also so amazing in supporting the local development of the town, supporting the local community with work and providing an exceptional food experience for all those that are travelling through! Huge shout out to Danielle for being such a fantastic host and for feeding us the best food...

The chicken tikka masala bowl was tasty, with rich flavors and just the right amount of spice. The spicy margarita was also well made and unique. The staff were all friendly and provided attentive service without being overbearing. I do want to note that a 10% service charge is automatically added to the bill, which is fine but good to be aware of. There is also an additional 3-4% fee for paying by credit card, so cash would avoid that small extra charge. While I really enjoyed the food and service, these additional fees are the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. I would definitely return for the quality of the food, but will remember to bring cash next time.

Came here for a coffee this evening and couldn’t be more impressed. The establishment is nice with some indoor seating and a nice patio on the roof which is where I sat. The service here is friendly and welcoming and our orders were taken by an Australian woman (I was suprised to hear another Aussie accent). She was super nice and made us feel very welcome. I ordered the iced latte with vanilla syrup and it was great. The coffee was smooth and wasn’t too bitter, or too sweet. It was the perfect balance. I paid cash so I didn’t encounter the 10% charge a few other reviews mention, but for others keep this in mind! Another great coffee spot in Pana!
